I usually pass a lot and shoot for the goal whenever I get the chance. That gives me items, which I use to prevent the opponents to get me as the captain so I can get a perfect chance of pulling off a Super Strike.
I also try to tackle rather than body check, so that I don't accidentally give items to the opponent, although I do use the big hits when and if the goin' gets tough.

usually in cup battles, i dont use items, i just do put super strikes on, thats all, cuz i like to score 2 points w/ every goal i score, my strategy?
i just go for the goal, i play almost no defense, except for sacrificing one of my guys to go in front of an opponet, when they are about to shoot, to steal i just use b, and i almost never do regular shots, always a super strike, at least i try to

I steal the ball, run to the other field, then pass it to my teammates for a perfect pass then if it's a perfect pass, I'll shoot it in.

yah i used to do it, but i got bored w/ it so there for i started a new one, and another, and another, and so on

I find Super Strikes to get boring. So i do bikes and header(lob pass), create oppurtunities round' the goal(perfect passes), and then occasionly super strikes.

They may be boring, but they're worth it.

i either get realy close and pull of a superstrike or use a bunch of lob passes and then hit the ball when its in the air..

I tend to aim for setting up a lot of Perfect Passes to increase my chances of scoring. This involves a lot of passing back and forth - that pisses my brother off so much.

If I get the chance, I'll do a Super Strike, but on Super Star level and above, that opportunity doesn't come very often.

Yah i mostly do the perfect passes... I go way up to the end of the field and pass it back in front of the net and yah it usually works out cause the goalie always faces where you are so if you do it right it usually works.... Also do the same with lobbing it up. HAHA when i do the super strikes i hate when you are in the goalies area and you got drop kicked in mid air but i usually do some super strikes. The one thing i am really bad at is dodging i always get hit and it i get P.O. and yah I quit for about 2 months. That is when i went up into the higher divisions so i dont dodge at all.

I just wing it. what's the worst that could happen?

Wing it isn't a strategy? You would have to do something and what you do is your strategy. So when you wing it, what do you during the game?

Wing it?? You sound like my little brother. He justs goes down the field randomly pressing buttons hoping it will turn out well.
