next-gen NCAA football game |
|
NCAA 06 already knocked the socks off my feet with how immersed you can get in the game. I can only imagine what could go into the next-gen game. I have ideas for the next-gen NCAA Football.
The stadiums look nice, but they could be amazing. One thing that I can think of is a new way to show the stadium when the game starts. WARNING: I am a Buckeye fan so I am just using them in this thread as an example because its the only team I can think of where I know so much. At Ohio State, when you enter the stadium, you should go through the gates at the north end where the horseshoe is rounded off and follow the path into the stadium where you come out of the tunnel and onto the field, do a 360 view of the stadium, and then proceed with the pre-game. I don't know why, but I am goin to use Michigan as an example too for the stadiums. In Ann Arbor, when you enter the stadium, you are near the top of the stadium because the Big House is a bowl in the ground. It's common sense to do that. When you enter that stadium, you chould go down the aisle and do a sweeping view of the stadium and the fans. Even though its Michigan, that would be pretty sweet. Another thing that would be would be to have a stadium full of 3D fans that cheer and jump up and down when your team scores or makes a huge play. There should also be away fans that cheer in their respective sections and in their random seats throughout the stadium. Vendors should be seen walking the aisles throughout the game. The fans should be able to get up when they want to and go get seomthing at the concessions. As halftime approaches, fans should get up and go the restroom or concessions or just stretch like they do in real life. I think that would be amazing to have in the next game. Along with the fans comes the big celebrations. In real life games, like the OSU/Michigan game in '02 (when OSU won the nat. champ.), fans stormed the fiel after the game because of sucha huge win. In the game, if a team gets a big victory, then fans should rush onto the field and celebrate. The immersion in the game would be amazing if this were to happen. Another thing NCAA Football lacks is the bands. Bands do things in real life that should be refelcted in the games we play. Ohio State has the Script Ohio, so I think the next-gen game should have the band do the Script Ohio. More tradition like this needs to be imcorporated into the next-gen game. it would be amazing. One last thing and I'm done (I know, I've typed probably too much). Maybe the bands could come onto the field like they do in real life, mimicking the motions and walking of the real marching bands. And before games, possibly the national anthem could be played. I know it's not really a big thing, but it would just add more realism. In big games, jets could fly over the stadium as the national anthem is finishing up. The realism could be so amazing with the next-gen systems coming out. Possibilities are endless. Then again, these are only my ideas and thoughts on how the game could be so much better than it already is. | |
