Does anyone seem to be having trouble avoiding wrecks/hitting walls, especially in the first couple laps of a race? Also, does the shift up/shift down feature actually work? I haven't been able to make any use out of it, and I think it might be part of my problem staying out of trouble. I know not many people are posting yet, but I welcome and appreciate any comments.

Just bought Nascar '06 and seem to be crashing quite a lot myself. Also, the AI cars are completely merciless when it comes to ramming me off the road. It does seem to be gettinfg easier tho...

You think it's hard now try turning the assist off. Ofcoarse to learn the braking points and turn speed I practice with them on full. Trust me at first it seems like you'll never get good but before you know it you'll be racing martansville and road coarses like the pros on ledgend with no assist. BTW full assist brakes for you. Also drive with the roof cam to help see how close to the walls you are.
