This could just be a helluva strange thing for me but you guys should all try it anyways.

Ok, so lets say you're having sluggish FPS problems, like crazy bad or even just a little. What If i said there was a way to take those even insane FPS problems and make it run completely smooth really easily?

Here's what you do. You load up a save and then press escape to go into options. Then go to the option where you can edit the texture, specular, and bump or whatever else. Now max all these out, or at least go to high if you don't already have it there. YES EVEN IF YOU ARE ALREADY EXPERIENCING FPS PROBLEMS. Now hit apply. It'll take a couple seconds and then press escape a couple times to get back out and into the game.

BAM! The game should be running ten times smoother! At least it did for me when I was experiencing what looked like 10 FPS and then i did that and i was running like 50 with everything at EXTRA compared to normal.

Here's the thing though, next time you load up the game, or any time you are experiencing those sluggish problems just go back into the options and change one of the settings and go around in a circle back to extra or high or whatever it was set to. You do this just so you're able to hit the apply button. It seems to me when you hit apply it caches or i dunno does something and everything runs a lot smoother even with high settings.

This may just work for me but hell, give it a try, you might be able to have a much better looking game with great performance.

Thats true actually, when the game reloads the level your playing while you are already in-play it fixes an error in mip-mapping (texture resolution)

I found these tweak here very helpful. With that tweak I increased my FPS by 11-15 which makes 'Pointe du hoc' run even smoother then ever
