i have currently used my friend's CD to download COD 2 into my new laptop, my laptop has met all the minimum requirements,and the CD key was found on the internet. but once i finished downloading, and was ready to play, a error comes out..it says..

Fatal Error:
error during initialization:
No valid rendering code path detected

can anyone help me with this problem? thanks!!

First of all, since you got a CD key from the internet you can't play Call of duty 2 multiplayer. The CD key has more then likely already been used by a person and banned by Activision.
2nd, it sounds like a video card problem.
3rd, we can't help people who illegally own the game at neoseeker. Fill free to come back once you buy it

yeah, worth the 50 bucks for multiplayer

however, my first step for an error is to reinstall

only first i copy all the contents of the cds to my computer (keep a separate folder for each cd)

then i install from the computer to my computer

Still not sure why but it works
