While I was re-installing COD2, I had to leave in a hurry and canceled out of the installation. When I had more time and I went back to re-install it, the opening screen said that it was already installed, even though I knew it wasn't. So when you click play multiplayer or single player it won't let you play, and when I click the uninstall button something pops up very fast and disappears, then nothing happenes and I can't play the game. If anyone can help me I would very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried going to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs? Try removing COD2 from there then re-installing. If that doesn't work then try deleting every single file associated with COD2 which should be located in C:/Program Files/Activision/COD2.

If neither of these works then I suggest you get onto the Call of Duty 2 technical support people. Look around the COD2 site and I'm sure you will find something there to help you.

I doubt that would work as the program's installation key would still be in the registry. Get rid of it using a program like [CCleaner]. When using CCleaner, go to Tools > Uninstal > Call of Duty(R) 2 and then click 'Delete Entry', you can now manually delete all files in your COD2 installation folder and reinstall the game.
