Will getting more RAM enable me to play with dx9 on instead of 7??
Windows XP SP2 ATI RADEON X600 1024MB DDR2 SDRAM playing on 1280 x 1024 res (19" Monitor) any smaller and the screen is really blury. 250GB Hard Disk | |

Nope sorry. To enable DirectX 9, I wouldn't recomended anything below an ATI X800 or an Nvidia 6800 gt\gs video card. It is the video card that runs DirectX, if the video card fully supports Directx9, it will give you 9. If it doesn't your stuck with 7 and yours doesn't fully support 9.
More RAM will help make load times shorter and maybe smooth out the gameplay a little bit, but your game should be just fine with 1GB of RAM. This message was edited by monkey_ninjas316 on Aug 07 2006. ------------------- ![]() | |

thanks anyway ill think about getting a better graphics card too then, ive bought the RAM anyway, i get some lag whilst aiming through sniper scope in dx7 so hopefully that will smooth that out.
