Questions for new owners

Hopefully some kind soul will answer these for those of us who haven't (or can't) got hold of a copy yet

Who's the point of view character (like Magma was in the first one), if there is one?

Do you start with more or less the whole team, or does it build up slowly as you meet them, again like the first game.

re: Questions for new owners

!!{SPOILERS}!! for those of u who want to know..u start off with the whole team as far as i know..theres only 3 open slots..im only just starting the second act but as far as the POV character goes..u walk around with the 4 characters u choose ...just like u were in a mission in the last game..u can switch back and fourth and change teamates at the extraction points if u want too..but like the last game at the "base"...u cant perform attacks and u cant jump..the missions are nuthin like the last game..they start u off at Genosha(think thats how its spelled)..and there is like 5 or 6 big areas u can wonder around..its kinda free roam but not...its a great game alot better than the last one..

re: Questions for new owners

I liked it better in the first how you didn't have as big of a selection and you built it up. Seemed cooler to me.

They should've added more characters I think, I mean, how much harder is it to add more?

re: Questions for new owners

Damn, so it came out already... Crapinnahat... I need to somehow come up with the moolah to pay for this, or at least rent it.

I have some questions regarding powers>

*Fliers> Can you use powers while airborne yet?

*Who was cut from the game that was in the last (as playable)?

*New powers> for returning characters, what new powers are available?

*Online? How is it?

*RPG character stat balancing> Are things balanced better or for worse?

*Do heavy characters like Rogue/Collossus, still swing their punches at 2 miles an hour?

re: Questions for new owners !!{SPOILERS}!!

Can you use powers while airborne yet? No

*Who was cut from the game that was in the last (as playable)? Quite a few..if u want to see who wasnt cut just go to the official website.

*New powers> for returning characters, what new powers are available? alot

*RPG character stat balancing> Are things balanced better or for worse?..well theres alot more powers and traits so not really sure..

*Do heavy characters like Rogue/Collossus, still swing their punches at 2 miles an hour? not as slow ..but not fast

!!{SPOILER}!!

and just something to add i beat the game and its open ended..i beat Apocalypse and after the credits it started back at his tomb all leveled up and what not..and u can also start a new game with everything u had from the last game..i guess the developers heard our "New Game+" pleas

re: Questions for new owners

The new game+ feature seems worth it. Before starting the new game+, can you change the difficulty level, kinda like the Champions of Norrath series allowed?

re: Questions for new owners

I know quite a few of you have played it now, and my desire to get hold of this game and play it is reaching new obsessive levels. So....
What are the worst things about the game E.G. characters who are a waste of (mutant) DNA, powers you wish to god you hadn't wasted your hard won experience points on, glitches etc. And can we try and keep it general (i.e 'Juggernaut sucks 'cos he's slow', rather than 'juggernaut sucks when he kicks that guy into the lava during level three before you can question him') without spoilers please for those poor bas%£*#s like myself who can't get our paws on it yet.

re: Questions for new owners

The gameplay is almost identical to X-men Legends 1, there's really not that much thats different other than unlimited flight so long as you have energy, new attacks, story, and characters. I find that Iceman is way better in this game then he was in the last, but as for useless characters, I really don't use anybody out of my four-team. My team is Wolverine, Iceman, Storm, and Nightcrawler.

One cool thing that they've added, although I've only come across it once, is that certain characters can do certian things. For instance, theres a computer in one of the Genoshan levels that can only be opened by one of the brotherhood members.

I'm not very far at all and so far the game is awesome. I don't know about you guys but one of my favorite things is the trivia game, in this one I think they add new questions depending on which Act you are in. I don't know for sure though because I am still on act 1.

Gambit's powers are better, so are Nightcrawlers. Instead of only being useful for telporting through walls, he now has a sword which has a pretty heft mutant attack. One thing I don't like is that he can't teleport through forcefield type barriers or locked doors, so you have to do it old school and go smash/configure whatever is making the barrier.

I'm definitly glad that theres no POV character like Magma, I found her so annoying. One thing I'd like to see more of is cinematic cut scenes like in the trailer, but then again I am only on Act One.

Lady Deathstrike? I used Storm, Wolverine, Iceman, and Nightcrawler. Just use up your mutant powers qucikly and make sure you keep on attacking. Once your power is done, switch to the next X-Man on your team and just keep using mutant attacks. Just stay close and attack a lot and eventually she'll die.

re: Questions for new owners

i think ur talkin about Mikhail Rasputin....i used wolverine, colossus, cyclops and magneto..wasnt to hard..since they make u play on normal the first time to unlock hard difficulty. none of it was that hard..the hardest boss is Sugarman..he has a three hit combo that will kill u if ur not carefull..the hardest bosses are actually the ones u fight in the danger room nightmare challenges..it took me like ten minutes to defeat lady deathstrike.toad and sunfire are completly useless if u ask me..i would have much rather had Sabretooth, Cable, Beast..and countless others instead of toad and sunfire...if u waste a skill point on something u decide u dont need later..in the training catagory of the shop theres something u can buy to redistribute all ur skill points.

re: Questions for new owners

Posible Spoilers if you haven't completed Act 2, but do read if you need help in the Boss fights of Act 2

For Mikhael, I used Iceman (Freeze Blast), Magneto (That attack where he encases people in metal), Storm (Blizzard and Lightning) and Wolverine (Beserker Fury Extreme and his fists).

If you leave Iceman and Magneto to the AI (don't use Call Allies), they tend to freeze up a lot of people around you so you can focus on one enemy at a time with Wolverine. Storm's Blizzard causes damage to a whole lot of enemies - or focus on one guy with Lightning. Use Wolverine's Beserker Fury Extreme if you get surrounded by clones. He can take down 4 baddies with that move at level 20 and you can find Extreme tokens by smashing the barrels lying around.

For the second part of the fight, You need to take down Mikhael's shield.
To do that, you need to kill his clones over the four platforms around him. They turn into control panels (wierd) and you need to switch them off.

For Sugarman - I guess I thought he was a pushover because of Bishop. I find Bishop's attack where he keeps shooting at one enemy as long as you hold down the button (forgot the name) seems to work best. Pretty much for any slow moving boss. Sugarman actually moves real slowly and seems to walk towards the guy you control.
I just targetted him and kept shooting till he came close, ran away, repeated and eventually killed him without really breaking a sweat.

re: Questions for new owners

yeah ..thats how i beat the nightmare version of Sugarman..i didnt say he was hard just the hardest of all the bosses.in the nightmare mode if he catches u in that three hit combo and u dont use a life at the right second ull die..so watch out.Apocalypse isnt even hard...and i noticed something after i beat the game ..it didnt hardly unlock any of the bosses for the danger room mode..i remember in the last one every body was available..and for thos eof you whove beaten the game and want to start over with all ur unlocked characters at level 1..u can do that too..just start a new game and dont load ur settings ..ull start the game with deadpool, prof x and iron man except at level 1..so u can start fresh
