	I have had the same problem and I had tried several of the suggested methods...to no avail. What did fix it for me was to go into the control panel for DirectX. I lowered my hardware acceleration for sound from 'Full' to 'Standard'. The game loaded right up! I'm not sure if this fix has been posted before, but if not, then try this method, also. Hope it helps. Start--Run--'dxdiag' (this will bring up the control panel for DirectX)
