I think it looks better it may not have the same social structure wow has but it looks much more realisting and involved in sick of games like wow that take little true skill

I see Warhammer Online more as a "heavily updated WoW," and AoC as a bit more unique than that.

That is what I hope.

However, with EA having a say in what's done, it's clear to me that they are trying to make the game more WoW-like, at least in a few aspects. Whether or not it'll be the game as a whole that comes off as such, has yet to be determined.

However, there's a few things that lead me to that conclusion. For one, there's going to be stealth in the game, even though Mythic explicitly stated they would never put full on stealth in. They also changed their 'no heal-bots' ideal (that one really disappointed me). Then there's the skill tree system that was added. And even though it's a minor one, the interface does resemble WoW's in a couple ways.

But all in all, as long as they make RvR badass and balanced, I'll be getting the game.

This game is all about graphics. Thats all it has going for it. Yea it may have a different combat system far as an mmo goes but its nothing spectacular or new. This game is going to fail hard and is just getting all hyped up over the graphics and blood/gore. It won't hold or last very long and people who've been waiting for it or didn't get to play in the beta are in for a huge disappointment. The pvp in this game is just god awful. Things feel stale and boring. WAR is a dormant volcano right now. Everyone is hyped about AoC or still playing wow. WAR is building up and is still underground a bit and will hit hard later this year. You'll notice the difference in the two.

I think this game will be a lot better than WoW, not only because it's different in its own ways, but it's also rated mature, so it will cut out some of the immature users.

But judging from my past experiences of WoW, even those over 17 can be really, really immature.

So there's still going to be that myriad of immature older fellows.

Played this game for about two days now. I like it better than WoW, and it has little to do with the graphics. I was always a fan of the melee class and as far as I can tell it's actually fun. Different angels to attack, different combos to pull off- and you need to anticipate your opponent. Not to mention, the Fatalities- and I damn well know they'll add more later in patches.

The quests are also fun. Aside from the amazingly FEW "Go out and kill x many baddies for reward" quests, you have innovative objectives that need to be done. You need to scale walls and listen in on conversations, pick targets out in the midst of an actual battle, and even solve some puzzles. Shit, even the story itself is kinda interesting.

A few miscellaneous points: Great character customization and awesome NPC voice acting.

The only problem with it is you need a decent pc to even run the thing- and a good pc to get some nice eye-candy.



I've played WoW off and on for about two years. To be honest, after the first three months the game got real dry. The reason I kept on was competition with friends- but once they got tired of it my play had been scarce. The gameplay is dry, the fighting feels so much like an illusion. The quests are bland, and in the end everyone looks the same. A game that I at first deemed good (Not even great), I now frown at even the name.

Aside from the obvious things like new graphics and combat system etc.

I really love the leveling in this game, it is so much quicker to level than it is in world of warcraft.

This is a great point for me as it means i can spend alot more time pvping then doing shitty grinding.

Also i have to say that Funcom got the music spot on in this game, i love the music in Cornall Valley (spell?)

Yeah I just got there, too. Music is awesome hands down.

Most of everything I've ever asked for in a class has been answered with this game's barbarian. I say it's about time people came up with GOOD class ideas. (Although Ragnarok Online had a few goodies)

i never said that leveling in WoW was hard. i said that it is LONG, much longer than in AoC.

Yes you do grind BG's in wow, well done.

Yes you can world pvp in both games but it is a completly different ball game in the Mini - Games / Battlegrounds.
For one it is more exciting to destroy a team of enemy forces compared to killing a guy who is attacking a mob.
