ok, i've been playing sims for a while, I recently switched from pc to macosx and now the cheat maxmotives isn't working. Whats the deal?? is it a mac thing or a glitch in my game (prettyl likely)?

I'm on OS X and it doesn't work on mine either, so it must be a mac thing. I use boolprop testingcheatsenabled true and drag motives up with the mouse (each motive for each sim individually). Or you could (with the testingcheats on) shift-click the mailbox and select "make all happy" (that works for everyone on the lot at the time). Just remember that if you use the boolprop cheat I mentioned, either enter it in the neighborhood screen or save, exit and re-enter the house or it won't work.

You sometimes get glitches from downloading the same game on a different computer like flashing red and black walls, happend oon my friends.

Since maxmotives doesn't work for the Sims 2 Mac,
type boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true into the cheats bar.
Then go to your mailbox, shift + click it and there will be the option of 'Make All Happy'
