heyy, just recently installed BF2 onto the PC, i played BF1 on PS2 and became obsessed. haha. in the past with other first person shooters i've usually played sniper, do all recommend it? or is it too difficult for someone just starting off? i do have experience from BF1 but that was PS2 and that was also the first game. has it changed much? if not sniper any other recomendations? thanks a bunch.

The sniper in BF2 is very similar to that in BF1, however you can no longer lie on the ground for greater cover, only crouch. (Which is kinda a bummer if you ask me!)

But as for ease of play, there really isn't much of a difference between the characters, they are all pretty similar in that sense. But yeah, if you're a good sniper, then go sniper!

Oh, but whatever you do, don't get too many "Marksman" awards, which you achieve by getting 6 head shots in a single match with a sniper rifle, I believe. After you achieve this 4 times, every time you achieve it from there on in you will unlock an "Upgraded" sniper rifle, the beam rifle, which is a pile of shit =) It is far more difficult to shoot your opponents with it, it gives away your position easier and was built as more of a close-combat weapon for some reason. I know a few people who enjoy it, but the general consensus is that it's hopeless. Just be careful, if you achieve that award 64 times you are permanently stuck with a beam rifle, so don't save if you are getting close in my opinion! =D
