Yep, this one thread is dedicated to not just the last Johnny Storm race, but to all of them, for people who need help.

So... er... any tips about the third one? (Or whichever one it is where you race him to the school and back to the Baxter Building?)

Haven't managed to crack this one, but then I'm only playing it sporadically in between the other three games I've got on the go at the minute. I keep getting stuck on thhe transition between the diagonal cut across the bridge and the transition to the lower buildings on the other side.
It would have been nice if they'd used fewer insults and made them race specific too, there's a limit to the number of times I can hear 'Maybe I should have raced one of the three Spider Women' without quitting to do a side mission so I can hit something.

Insults spice it up. I ignore Johnny's, but I love hearing Spidey say "Are you even TRYING!?"

Ok, but seriously. I need help with the one where you race him to the school and back. I start out ok, but when I make it to the bridge, at the part where you swing out over the river, then you have to come back in and get to that one checkpoint high above those dome thingies, I end up just BARELY missing it and I have to waste all this time getting it, and then Johnny overtakes me.

Oh I like the insults, I just wish they weren't so repetitive. Have you had a look anywhere else for a JOhnny Storm race FAQ? Othr than that you could try PMing The Stinger, he was a fiend for them.
Think I'll have a try at the race again over the holiday period, seven days off work, Mmm...

The last race is impossible haha. Theres no way I'm finishing this game anymore, that race is just too frustrating for me to keep trying.

Dude, this is like the third race. I just need a few tips. If I can clear those 2 checkpoints, then the rest of the race is mine.

have you had any luck with the insane races yet?

I can't beat a SINGLE one. I also can't beat the majority of the Hard races in the city.

My tips? Alright.

Checkpoint 1: Building ahead of the Baxter building
Just run, double jump, webzip. Easily cleared.

Checkpoint 2: Bridge
Don't stop and land during checkpoint 1, and you should reach this one easily. Just fall, doing quick web swings, and you should be able to position yourself just fine to catch this one with enough momentum.

Checkpoint 3: Out over river
After clearing checkpoint 2, start using your web swings with a lot of climbing (triangle) and when you get to the end of the bridge, use it and then let go. Try and get it so you can reach that checkpoint with a double jump off your webline. Then immediately webswing back to the bridge so you don't take a splash and lose.

Checkpoint 4: Over the domes
If you use climbing webswings, you should be able to reach this one the same way you did check point 3. If you miss it, just start over, as trying to reach it will take much time and Johnny will just overtake you.

Checkpoint 5: The end of the bridge
A few quick webswings from checkpoint 4 will get you to this one easily. If you don't hurry though, Johnny will catch up and fill this checkpoint with fire, making it nigh-impossible to pass without taking a hit and screeching to a halt. If such happens, give up.

I don't remember what the next checkpoint is, so I'll just stop there.

the bridge race was very easy I had the lead all the time. but how do I race him again. I have like 16-17 checkpoint races left, how many am I supposed to win to race johny

I think the final Johnny Storm race is absurdly difficult. I BARELY can beat the race one out of 20 times. As for the Insane races, they are a lot easier than the final Johnny Storm race. I managed to beat all of the races in the city with Bronze or better, but yeah, some of the insane races are just stupid hard! You want to know what is really hard? Trying to get the Mega times in all the races, yes including the Insane races. I have a bunch of mega times, but honestly just gave up on them. Considering that I am very good at this game, I can honestly say that, both the final Johnnyb Storm race, as well as the VAST MAJORITY of "Mega Times" is difficult to the point of being no fun at all. I wish I owned Craptivision, because honestly, if I did? I would fire all of the programmers, well at least the ones who decided that the only people who would ever get all the Mega times is someone who would literally devote a large part of their lives to a stupid video game.

Its a shame, because they really took what could have been a classic game, and RUINED it with such a huge difficulty level on the final Johnny Storm race, and the Mega times.

Yeah man, I'm on the last race... I just give up. Symbiote costume be damned, you're not worth this much trouble.
