The Conflict series has always been mediocre, but one thing i've always admired about the series is the must-have inclusion of a co-op campaign mode. While it took them quite a while to finally enforce the use of the then-idiotic, and now-standard 'third person over the shoulder' control system, they finally made a Conflict game that surpasses 'playable' standards. Truth be told, my main problems with this game are not the relentless AI, or the weak plot - but the fugly sound effects quality (Ever hear a game recorded almost completely underwater? Even worse than what Activision's done in the past), and the fact that this was the last Conflict game on the PS2.
Unfortunately I hear the PS3 Conflict doesn't play too well, but if review scores for this game are any reflection, then PS3 Conflict isn't half as bad as they're saying. Anyhow, this game is right up there with Socom: Combined Assault and Battlefield 2 (on the PS2). ------------------- ![]() | |
