hi on half life 2 episode 1 the install dosent work so can some one tell me how to install it or do you need half life 1 or something

You don't need Half-Life 1 for anything. What exactly is happening? We need more info.

Well I recommend playing half-life 1 then half-life 2 before playing episode 1 or you won't know what's going on.

What relevance has that to an installation problem?

well i have played half life 1 but on ps2 and finished 9 times and ive instaled steem and evry thing now it doseint work:confused:

Have you installed episode 1 then? Installing Steam on its own doesn't install the game to! Tried clicking on the games tab?

Do you actually have a copy of Episode 1 either on a dvd-rom or purchased off of steam or a gift from someone else?

welll when it comes up when i put the disc in and then i clik on install half life 2 episode and then it says you need to instaal steeam and i install steam then i cant play half life 2 eoisode 1

have you tried putting the disc back in to continue the installation?
