Hi.

I've been a fan of Breath of Fire since I got the game in 2000ish, but never completed it due to a few accidents including deleting the contents of my memory card- yes, I am stupid.

However, I got back into it recently after a year or so, but I've encountered a HUGE, game-breaking problem-

After the Content of Champigns, before Garr joins your party, the game freezes for me. I fight the three men over the bridge, Garr comes, short dialouge, and then Garr moves to join the party- but on the party screen, Ryu is no where to be found!

Then, when you exit the screen, on the right hand side in small, uninviting white font, it says

'File not found. ID 02/05/04' (Or some similar numbers, can give the exact if needed.)

I assumed it was the CD, which is years old and has never had a case, so I bought- at fair expense for an outdate Playstation game- a new game, scratch free with case etc.

Same problem.

What could this be? I did a google search and came up blank.

If it helps, yes, I have used cheats from exploder- I didn't when I got further in the game, before losing the memory in the card. I don't know if this could be a factor and am restarting the game without cheats; however, I didn't want to get THAT far without it happening again.

So please, if anyone knows anything, it would be much loved.

In the mean time, I'm starting with my new CD and hoping for the best.

i think your game must be a problem right? maybe u can erase some memory in ur psp u know what i mean..... are ya using disc or memory card? well i guess what ever u r using there in your psp is outdated.....

if ur using a disc id say u seriously ****ed it up. if its on memory card delete it then put it back on because it may not have copied properly

This sounds like a Cheat Cartridge related glitch. Usually glitches occur at points like this in the game so I would start again without the use of the Cheats.
