It's in one of the iTunes folders, the program creates a backup of the firmware for restoring purposes.

I just downloaded QuickFreedom and it doesn't find my firmware is there a way I can locate it?

iPhone or iTouch?

If it isn't there, just download it from iTunes.

I have My Documents.
But in there, there isn't Application Data.}

There has to be a Documents and Settings folder.

Open your C:\ drive ("Local Disk C").

If there really isn't one, do you see an "Users" folder in the root?

Here's my C: Drive.

Your first folder is "!KillBox". Just below it you have "Documents And Settings" =P.

What do you have inside your Documents And Settings Folder?

Folders named; Administrator, All Users, Clary and Owner.

Okay we are going to do things differently:

Start > Search. Search for all files that have the extension ".ipsw". That's the update extension, and if you downloaded it, it should be somewhere in your computer.

download the update again, only this time save it to your temp or desktop until you're done with it. screw around with organizing your folders later.

Keep checking the Dev-Team Blog, they're probably further along with unlocking the 3.0 f/w than anyone atm.

I just installed redsn0w, and I tried to open the file. It says that it cannot find the program to open the file. What should I do? And I tried quickfreedom, and it crashed my computer. I got lucky and did a system restore, so I still have it up and running, but DON'T GET QUICKFREEDOM!!!!!
