Hi Guys,
Been taking a look at the recent requests of Wikis and it seems that there are quite a few requests for series's that are quite old and pretty much dead. Whilst it would be great to EVENTUALLY have a wiki for each and every series, the fact is that for the time being New (and on-going) games series will be the ones given priority. Now I don't mean to pick on those that have requested the following so sorry in advance, however for an example a recent request for Mother Earthbound saw that most games were Japan Only and the last game made was on the GBA (and I don't think we'd have a section dedicated to the Mach Pizza Air freshener either). Another recent request was the Jet Set Radio, which although was on the Original XBOX, has not seen the light of day, and the previous iterations (only two in number) were on the DC and GBA. Again it's not a widely known series nor is it one that is currently on-going. To summarise, before you request a Wiki please think to yourself if you honestly think it's a good idea, and whether the games are new and still have a big following, do NOT submit the idea for the wiki for the sake of submitting an idea. Chances are old games series wont have Wiki's created till the current NeoWiki's have much more content. -------------------  | |

Might I suggest a 'General' wiki of some sort for these old games?
ex. General Sega Neowiki (excluding Sonic) Includes:
Space Channel 5 Super Monkey Ball (etc.) Like, games with a decently big fanbase, but are pretty old. Just throwing ideas around. ------------------- | |

General Wiki's are still a no. We wont be creating a 'General Sony' wiki or a 'General Playstation 3' wiki or anything like that. Not even one for old games. Sorry

The exception to the rule, of course, being the NeoWiki, which is a general Neoseeker wiki.

So with that rule would it make sense when a wiki gets opened work back from the latest title? eg: Tony Hawk Proving Ground then do Tony Hawk Project 8 ect.

I totally agree but I don't Wiki's should be created for really, really new series. For example Rock Band Wiki has been created and there has only been 1 game released! Yet I see some game series out there with like over 20 games and still just as popular or more than for example Rock Band without neowiki's..

I don't think number of games/movies/shows in a series is the important factor, I think it's more popularity of that series that matters. Rock Band is quite popular and there's still tons of content that can be written up for that one game.
