Weird game

Jesus, this is a weird game. I don't know whether it's good or not. All I know is that I want to play it again. I like techno music a lot, and this is some experience. Man, sometimes, I wish that I could just turn off the lights, turn up the sound and just let the game play by itself instead of me having to. I don't really feel like I wasted my money, but I don't feel really excited either. What do you guys think? Personally, I glad that I just want to keep playing it. I guess what it is is that I like the presentaiton but I wish the core gameplay had some more depth. If you could control your guy a la Starfox and keep the presentation intact then that would be a cool game. Starfox for the N64 was one of the greatest games, in my opinion.

re: Weird game

I just played the PS2 demo over here in the UK, and I can't wait for this game to be released over here. Its hard to pin down, but I think its something to do with the way the sound is tied in to the gameplay. I found it almost hypnotic. I've never been drawn in by a game in quite that way before. There was an addictive quality there, though, that was a little unsettling. Almost _too_ addictive, if that makes sense.

re: Weird game

I thoroughly love this game, its so hypnotic after a few pints and a smoke. Its just a shame its so short, i completed it in a matter of 30 minutes or so but it doesnt distract me from the hypnotic affect this game has.

Can any of you lads work out what 'Beyond beam' is? i unlocked 'Beyond Beam type 1' last nite in score attack mode and dont really know what is does, answers on a postcard please lads, cheers.

re: Weird game

Just because it's weird, don't hesitate to buy it. I agree it is too short, but its the most stylish game since Jet Set Radio on the DC. Yes, it is too short, but the Beyond mode makes up for it. I also agree best after a smoke and a few beers. Best level the last one with Adam Freelander music and the history of the world

re: Weird game

This game is really cool. Really, really cool. I have played literally hundreds of console games over the years, and this is one of the few games that you cannot stick into a type box. It is unique, slick, clever, thought provoking and has the coolest bosses ever.

It isn't that 'weird' by the way, Nights on Saturn was 'weird'.
