Well I don't know about yours, but I managed to housetrain a few of my Chao into doing basic cleaning tasks. If you mean in the game, though, then they simply take the place of the mice - doing exactly as they are told and either going to their death or being contained. So, similar to those who follow the Bush administration, then.
