Guitar hero 3 controller broken |
|
I have the PS3 version and the green button doesn't work all the time. Has anyone had this problem? My gamestop is all sold out, so I cant replace it yet. Any ideas what the problem is?

mine did that too as soon as i started playing. Sometimes the connection inside the neck isn't making contact. You have to push the neck in to make sure its making contact. I think I am going to put some super glue around where the body meets the neck so it will stay put. I think a removable neck was a horrible idea.

Make sure you post the results of your super glue experiment. I've heard people also had problems with the star power tilt.

When ever I do the star power thing, all four of the fret buttons stop working, either while i am tilting it up, or when I bring it back down. Hopefully I can get another one soon, one that will work.

I have the PS2 versions so i dont know if this would be any different.
but my yellow button stopped working. at first i didn't know what was wrong but then when i looked carefully. one of the pins on the guitar was jammed inside. I used a tiny screw drive to wiggle it out. and once that happened it worked again. when you put both the guitar parts together. i think pushing it too hard might cause one or more of the pins to become jammed hence not making any connection to the circuit board hence the button stops working at least thats what happened to me

I have been through 2 controllers now. My son was playing with the 3rd one just last night. He walked across the carpet and then touched the controller.BOOM!!! Static electricity....guitar suddenly doesn't work at all. Needless to say, I am more than just a little P@$#@$#$ed about this. Now, I need to find out if there is anything I can do to correct the problem. These things are way to expensive to be replacing every week

Has anyone found a real solution to the contact from the neck to the mainframe? Is there a one peice guitar on the market so this will never be a problem again? I agree that a two-piece is a poor idea.

okay my xbox 360 controller was being gay, so i read something about the pins in the bottom of the neck. so on myne it didnt look like the neck went in far enuff, and i didnt want to superglue it on, so basically
on the neck where the strap is sposed to go and the strap thing on the bottom of the guitar well all u do is tie string around it really tight or lots of sellotape... =D its realli simple ------- <======O------O ------ from O to O Put something strong that will hold down the neck in place tight enough for the pins to connect... i hope this helps =]

Im having a problem with my controller too. Sometimes, when i strum down, it randomly doesn't work and other times i strum down once and it does like 3 or 4 strums. This never happens when i strum up though. I've tried calibrating lag also and that didn't help either. My controller is the wireless two-piece one that came with GH: World Tour. Also, i got it on christmas, so it's only like 3 or 4 days old.
If anyone is having this problem and figured out a way to fix it PLEASE post something, i would be grateful.

Forgot to add this in, i did try securing the neck on it with some glue and it didn't help. Also, strumming upward works normally, it's strumming downward that is screwed up.
