re: Information Thread

Thanks a lot, took me a bit to write all that.

I'll edit the post with the unlockables as I get them. Sorry for the double post, but I updated A LOT, with all of the unlockables and some more side notes. Enjoy.

re: Information Thread

That's incredible, thanks. Every forum seems to have one guy who provides a bunch of information post game launch, that's you in this forum. I'll put that on the Portal later on, that's a massive help.

So wait, there's one more costume after Super Dante in this game? And if possible, can you give me the exact locations of the Combat Adjudicators for Vergil?

re: Information Thread

No prob, glad I could help.

And yes, Dante does get a new costume. Basically it's Super LDK, with the usual Sparda DT. For Vergil, it's Super Nelo. Like I said in the other post, they both take up NO DT runes from transformation fluxes, and they recover health like crazy. As for Combat Adjucators for Vergil, they appear to be in the exact same places as they where for Dante, they just revolve around those three weapons.

Yeah, I gathered that, but could you tell me which ajudicators go with which weapons? Basically I want to make the Portal page as complete as possible, but can't really do that on my own as I don't have the game.

re: Information Thread

The DMC3SE official site has been updated again!

First, good news for merchandise collector and amateurs! There will be a DMC3 Sound DVD Book (a DVD soundtrack) called Raising the Devil! The planned release date in Japan is February 28.

Second, the Download section has a new movie to show, a promo for DMC3SE that's already been posted to English game sites, I believe. Do be patient, it takes a while to load.

Third, the Special Column has been updated again, talking about the promo movie and offering us another gameplay video of aboslutely crazy action of Vergil going all out against Dante 2, then a group of Arachnes.

I'll tell you some I remember.

The one in the elevator room in mission 7 (where you put the Orihalcon) is for Yamato. The one left of the door to Vergil 2 (or Dante, depending on how you consider it) is also Yamato.

re: Information Thread

I checked around the neoportal and found something that was a bit off.

quote
Trick Down makes you move closer to an enemy if you're in the air, and it'll bring you back down to the ground.
It actually bring you away from the enemy no matter if it's used in the air or not. In the air, it brings you down and away and on the ground, away only.

quote
3 Jester fights have been inserted into the game. The first is in the first room of Mission 5 after you beat the Blood Goyles and you have to beat Jester to unlock the door at the far end. It's unknown where the other 2 are at the moment.
Not wrong, but to add the info. The 2nd is next to the divinity statue just before Geryon (mission 12) and the 3rd is in mission 17, behind the door at the highest floor of the God-Cube chamber.

quote
Spiral Swords - Circle of Phantom Swords surrounds Vergil. Costs 2 DT Runes to activate. (Hold down Square)
Sword Storm - Surrounds the enemy, then hits. (Hold down R1, then press Square + Forward)
Blistering Swords - Appears above Vergil, then launches one by one at the enemy. (Hold down R1, then press Square + Back)
Nothing wrong, but maybe add that you can only do Sword Storm and Blistering Swords if Spiral Sword is activated.

re: Information Thread

Done, done and done. I don't have the game yet so I can only go off what people tell me or what I've seen myself, hence the missing or misinformation in some points.

Thanks. ^^

Does Super Dante have health regeneration? I know Super Sparda does, but I can't find anything to say either way if Super Dante does.

re: Information Thread

Ž · Hmm, maybe I should contribute too, seeing that I've played the game for more than 50 hours already. Maybe some info about... oh!

Some of the moves of Vergil cannot be bought unless your Dark Slayer level is high enough for it:

·Rapid Slash Lv. 2 cannot be bought unless you are Darkslayer lv.3
·Judgement Cut Lv. 2 cannot be bought unless you are Darkslayer lv.2
·Starfall Lv.2 cannot be bought unless you are Darkslayer lv.2
·Lunar Phase lv.2 cannot be bought unless you are Darkslayer lv.3
·Stinger lv.2 cannot be bought unless you are Darkslayer lv.2
·Helm Breaker lv.2 cannot be bought unless you are Darkslayer lv.3

Another thing: Vergil's style system is easier to raise. Like after 2 other moves you could repeat the move before that and still get your style up. This info will help in destroying combat adjudicators, seeing that the one in Mission 17 (Force-Edge adjudicator) has a tricky one, that mixing up repeated moves will eventually make the main combo useless, so what you do there is after the first move of the normal combo yous hould repeat a stinger, even though it doesn't raise style points, so that you could get more style points using the force edge main combo.

And another thing: Super Corrupt Vergil heals hp while in DT. And Super/None Corrupt Vergil in DT has different moves compared to not in DT. His hold down button move, Dark Zodiac, is what you could replace for Judgement Cut. And while in DT you can only select Yamato (I think it transformmed into Vendetta) and Beowulf (Dark version).

Oh, and have you also put in the info that there is no change in the difficulties?

And another thing: Bloody Palace enemies are always from Normal Mode.

And another thing: Dullahan's don't just move around flying now. They have another mode wherein they roam around the room then later if they locked on you, they will suddenly charge. Of course, it's still the back that needs changing.

And another thing: Rapid Slash's pathway doesn't pass through Dullahan's shield, and Rapid Slash's pathway always stuns Vergil 1/2/3 Dante Style, but the Rapid Slash's sword slash hits Dullahan's back but is blockable by Vergil 1/2/3 Dante Style's Block.

And another thing: There is no difference in DT heal in Vergil's weapons... But Beowulf still looks the coolest .

And another thing: I have nothing else to say!

re: Information Thread

All that info's mostly been added I think.

And no, Super Dante doesn't have health regeneration. Also, his ability to perma use Doppleganger and Quicksilver has been removed. Only Super Sparda can do that now.

EDIT: Oh, yeah. And the SE Offical Site was updated. Nothing nobody hasn't seen, but some really good pics of Nelo are up. Plus a good bit of text. Can't understand it though.

Also, the SE Unlock Code actually exists. This has in fact been tested. It turns out they just changed the button requirements.

quote
R2 + R1 + L2 + L1 (depressed), press Left on D-pad, Up on D-pad, then move Left Analog stick towards the right/down corner.

Probably kinda useless now that everyone's busted their arse to unlock everything, but eh, it's good to know, I guess...

Here's a video demonstrating it.

Devil May Cry 3.5 Site Update

(so I missed one update, sue me. Reporting these updates doesn't earn me grades in school )

There are two new Special Columns since the last time I posted, along with a link to an interview about the staff's comments on the game and a third point in the What's New square that is complete gibberish since my computer refuses to display Japanese characters properly in Flash.

Column 07

Column 7 gives us absolutely beautiful, if small, screenshots of Vergil as Nelo Angelo, and one of Corrupted Vergil.

Column 08

Column 08 brings us stylish videos of an amazing display of skills in using Vergil's fully upgraded Phantom Swords, as well as explainations how to slaughter a wide array of things with Vergil's mind... if one can read Japanese Gentlemen, start your dictionaries!
