You went through surgery? Do you mean that figuratively or in actuality?

re: Vergil vs. Sephiroth

Virgil is a beast all round. If you played special edition you'll know so out of Virgil against sephiroth. Virgil would most likely win he's faster, stronger and he can also go into Devil Trigger which sephiroth can't do. So even with Jenova cells, his mothers head and a large masamune he would still most likely lose

Most likely in YOUR mind, this is exactly why this thread is pointless, its all opinons, say whatever the hell you want, doesnt mean its right or that even anybody is gonna give a shit.

re: Vergil vs. Sephiroth

This topic is never going to die is it ? Ah well, in an effort to make a legitimate contribution, not just a complaint, Sephiroth is definitely stronger than Vergil, as he is able to smash through multiple walls of buildings near-effortlessly. He's fast too, definitely fast enough to challenge Vergil, but I think Vergil is faster overall. As for Devil Trigger, it would help, but even with it, I don't think Vergil could match Sephiroth's raw power, so I don't see it swinging the battle. I reckon Sephiroth has the advantage in this fight, but not unbeatably so .

re: Vergil vs. Sephiroth

Also someone said that Sephiroth radomly swings his sword....... the guy was a first class SOILDER, not becuase he randomly swung his sword, but becuase he KNEW WTF HE WAS DOING. Also, yes people always think they are right and never want to find out, even if its in their face, that they are wrong, such is human nature. Thing is, opinons are never right or wrong, so this argument is meaningless.

You act like Vergil is invincible, he can die, put him in Dante Must DIe mode and Verigl dies quite quickly without even having been cut in half. Also, sinc when has Verigl EVER been cut in half before?

re: Vergil vs. Sephiroth

Dante's Rebellion does slash pretty much through his entire middle at the end of mission 20. It is true he survives, but he is clearly unable to battle following such an injury, so although he can survive being cut in half, against a merciless foe like Sephiroth he would be unable to defend himself from being finished off I think.

Also I know what you mean Zero, few people are actually up for a discussion, they only want to yell their own opinion out. I do believe opinions can contain a level of right or wrong in them, sometimes, for example, the opinion "Vergil would just shoot Sephiroth with a gun" is obviously wrong. Still, like I said, most people aren't interested in right or wrong, only in what they want to be right, sadly.

Hey its a miracle, someone is in agreeance with me. Damn wahts next, swarms of Locusts and rivers turning red?

Lol, but seriously, you make a valid point, people want to say their opinon and dont care to hear anyone elses that is not in agreeance with theirs, it causes conflict, flaming, and spam.

re: Vergil vs. Sephiroth

I'm telling you what to do, i'm making a suggestion and no i'm not a fan boy, i honestly thought vergil had a chance and still do however recently playing on seven and watching some crisis core vids i see that i'm probably wrong

Back to the topic of sephy swinging his sword randomly. He does not he hadn't made first class for nothing, Sephiroth is srong, skillfull and immensly powerful. AC, CC and FF7 prove this.

However if vergil where to face sephiroth in his currupted form when he joins mundus perhaps he would prove to be a powerful advasary but the fact remains that sephiroth has a near unlimited source of power and unfortunatly vergil doesn't.

So even though vergil is one of my favourite charcters, the fact remains that sephiroth is just too powerful.

re: Vergil vs. Sephiroth

If you want to talk about speed please bear in mind that in the opening cinematics to DMC3 both Vergil and Dante swung their swords so quickly that they stopped RAIN from landing on them until they locked swords.

In his fight against Beowulf Vergil slices him apart without even looking as though he attacked him. In the DMC3 manga Vergil doesn't even look like he has drawn his sword, and yet slices a mob of thugs to pieces as one of them reaches for his sword. The first thug's fingers fall off, then his head, then the whole group fall to pieces.

re: Vergil vs. Sephiroth

If ever Sephy gets in danger[like that could happen] he would just fly up and shoot meteors endlessly, also he could just spam his "Sin harvest" attack that he has from KH and also his dash attack is much faster than Vergil's. HOWEVER Vergil is much more resistant and overall faster, the only problem is that Sephy would just fly up and destroy Vergil if he has some materia with him XD

I don't really know how it would really end though... that's a very good match up but if Sephy gets hold of some materia...

My vote goes for Sephiroth
