I have never seen Seph's attacks go faster than human sight. Or be so fast that the attack actually moves to another point entirely(judgement cut). Or like when Vergil drew his sword spun it once, sheathed it,and the creature behind him turned to ribbons.

Well you don't need to be sane to be deadly, otherwise most villains would be harmless. Also, Vergil wanted a dead man's sword, not much difference between that and wanting Jenovah's head, they're both objects of power.

in the movie, he was the combination of the head, Cloud's memories and fears of Seph, and Kadaj(I hav trouble enough remembering names, not sure if this is the right one or the right spelling)

crazy is not always good, smart villains arent crazy. Seph wasnt really a smart villain tbh, he just some nut goin around killin stuff.

And 'course Sephiroth was some nut who went around killing stuff. It's in his genes to kill and generally destroy all life.

Sephy had a lot of logic to his actions.

As opposed to most other FF villains ... like Kefka - he just killed because it was fun. And Ultimecia - she wanted to kill for some unknown reason that we never found out.

yeah.. he seemed to do it with the only reason being that he can do it.

but, I still say Vergil would win. I still want to see some evidence of Seph's supposed speed.

Vergil would put up the fiercest fight. He may start winning. But we all know that Sephiroth pwns everyone. You need to be a level 80 to fight an even match wtih him in Kingdom Hearts. Vergil would need all the Blue orbs, and all the purple orbs if he dosen't have infinite DT power.
The fight would be awsome, but the outcome is predictable.

Sephy is strong, fast, practically immortal and he only takes Cloud lightly, and no one else. He also has an attack that can destory all things. How can he not win? You want proof of how Sephy is fast. Cloud was having trouble keeping up with Sephy's attacks through almost the whole battle in AC. Cloud has fast reaction skills, enough to block bullets, but he, of all people had problems blocking Sephy's attacks.

Also, calling someone a fanboy is just childish really. Presenting facts about Sephiroth just shows your knowledge of him, not that you are a fanboy of Sephy's.

ppl keep bringing up the super-nova, but as you all say "It destroys everything" this would include either the planet or Seph, and I doubt he can breath in space.

sounds like you only looked at that single post, look at the stuff I say afterwards, like the list of supporting facts I put.

second of all, the play mechanics are different in the games, meaning you would have to consider what lvl Vergil is with his speed and strength(which includes the many powers of the dark hunter style, as well as the fact that he; summons swords, can teleport(or move so fast as to seem to teleport) and have the speed and reflexes to not only dodge, but deflect bullets back at a target.
