Never got into Rurouni Kenshin that much. I liked it but I started watching it in the middle. But Naruto...the first episode caught me! I think Naruto > Rurouni Kenshin! Thats just my opinion though!

Rurouni Kenshin was good, but thats it. In my opinion it's just an okay samuria show. But the opening and ending movies were great. Samurai Champloo is better in my opinion.

I didn't say Samurai Champloo was better than Naruto. No way, but I do have a question for you Garaa King. Recently in this thread you said that Naruto is better than Rockman, if I'm not mistaken, in the Lougin you said that Rockman is better. I can give quotes... just too lazy, so which do you really think is better?

Bleach or Witch Hunter Robin are the only animes I like. (Depends if you call Megaman an anime or not I guess). I pretty much hate all other anime but there's quite a lot of really nice artwork.

First, allow me to call out the hypocrit! Forte, Bleach is just as *bleep*edly popular as Naruto. More or less on the same LEVEL of popular. I haven't got into Bleach yet, but I love the characters so far.

I got into Naruto to do some roleplaying for a friend. I read the manga, and so far I'm caught up with Japan. (omg that sai thing totally got me and effing sakura? owww man I was totally crying lol) I watch the fansubs since I tend to hate American dubs of Anime (while I enjoy the voice acting on american shows. I rarely watch TV, but I've seen such as Danny Phantom, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Fosters, to name the ones with the most interesting art/plots, and the voice acting is pretty strong. I'm also a huge Teen Titans nerd, as Phil can tell you. I got in trouble with a etchi Raven image once. New Raven is so much sexier than the old New Teen Titans Raven. Raawwwr.) and so I'm only partially into the anime. It's pretty fun to see the 'manga animated' with sound effects, but I'm not a big fan of the extra stuff they drop in. So I've never seen the fillers.


Witch Hunter Robin is about the most trendy anime you can find. So, you're saying "I don't like Naruto because it's a popular anime, but the only two anime I do like are trendy and popular."

Not that it matters, you've chosen two very solid series and more power to you. (I love her glasses, btw. <3 Glasses.)

For me, my recent interests have dragged be back into Lupin III, Love Hina, and Chobits, while stuff I've seen for the first time where F/S N, Melancholy, Nanoha, and Pyrazor keeps trying to hook me up with Eureka 7. I know they're showing it on Adult Swim, and if it gets translated before I see it, I normally sign it off as crap. However, I've seen part of the first episode, and I might get into that as soon as I have access to working internet.


For all time favorates, though, I love Trigun. Vash is one of the most awesome protaganists ever, and I just luffle him. Hellsing is really high up there for me as well. <3 Victoria, btw. Deep nestled in my heart is FLCL and Evangelion and other iconoclast anime, and my all time favorite is Melancholy.

However, for manga, I have a friend (you know him as Mysterious_Wanderer) who's way into Kenshin, and I've looked over his shoulder a few times and that's a series I'd like to get into again. Claymore is a god-send, and I try to get the Narutards around here into 'real' manga with that. Jumping from a more innocent manga into some hardcore shonen should be a wake up call to the rest of the world's offerings.


As a final note, I pretty much hate biggots who only like media from Japan. Get a *bleep*ing life and open your eyes.

For starters, Watchmen is getting something of a revival, and is pretty easy to find at comic book shops and bookstores. It's an amazing graphic novel and it's all condensed into one book, so you have no excuse not to pick it up next time you're out shopping for such. It's source is in North America, both the US and Canada, and it's made of win and awesome.

But I get what your saying about people who only like American media. I an believe you didn't mention Family Guy though. Only the best cartoon in the world... Other than Naruto that is.
