Underrated Graphics |
|
Almost everyone who has yet to play this game claims that the graphics are terrible, low-quality and PS2-renderable. How is that so? The graphics in PDZ easily kick the ass of anything of the previous gen, and anything else that's out now that's not on the Xbox 360. Everything about this game is eyecandy. The player models, the weapon models, the environments-- EVERYTHING!!!
So all you doubters, stfu and go and play it.

Ditto, 100%.
It's like this: Take the best quality cinematic from any of the previous consols...now you can play in-game with those graphics rather than just switching back to so-so graphics after the cinematic is over. Boo-*bleep*ing-ya! -------------------

I stared at this fat scientist's arse on the first simulation level, I tell myself it was the texturing that attracted me.
My housemate tried saying PD0 had worse graphics than halo 2, good joke noob.

Exactly, i generally find that most of the people that say the graphics are worse than last gen are the ones that:
1. Can't afford the next gen console 2. Can't bare to part with their precious current gen machine 3. Are PC gamers that can't face the fact that this console is producing graphics they won't be able to touch for the next year or so. Its stupid though cause anyone with working eyes can see that these games are looking spectacular, even the worse looking games on the 360 look amazing so most of it is bullshit about the graphics being poor. I just think it is just this newer generation of gamers have grown up never seeing a game based around solid gameplay and no graphics and now have their standards set way to high. ------------------- «Doom Destroyer. I've been to allot of different forums and I don't think I've ever read any thing about any one thinking the PS2 could render PD0. If they did they should have been kicked off the Internet.
Perfect Dark Zero does have very nice visuals but for a game in development for what? 6 years, it could have been much better. Still a great game, I'm glad I own it. ------------------- *bleep* it

re: Underrated Graphics |
quote doom destroyerSo true. I may not remember the Atari or Jaguar, but I do remember having my breath taken away when I played Super Mario Bros. on the NES at about age 4. Then the SNES and Genessis came out, some flops too (Sega Saturn), then I was practicaly drooling when I saw the ads for the N64 (PS1 was not appealing with the 1/2 ammount of graphics). I remember my dad (who is 60) observing the changes in graphics and everytime he'd say they keep getting more and more photoreal, and that he wished he had this stuff when he was a kid. So then, being the Nintendo fan I WAS, I was agasp at the Game Cube's graphics (wich ARE better than PS2), and not knowing that the controllers were junk, I bought one. Then I start seeing this thing called Xbox...I eventually bought one of those, got Live, and sold the Cube. So how could the graphics get better, I wondered. Then came the 360, God of the existing (and soon to be existing) gaming consols/systems. Sure, the PS3 (and mabe N Revolution) will have some graphic/storage advantages, but the SERVICE of our beloved American Microsoft will keep them at bay. Think about the Xbox's internet vs. Sony's internet; no contest. Heck, I don't think Sony even has a name for their service, if you want to call it that. And Nintendo is cowering at the thought of letting little children (their customers) hear cussing by enabling their system with internet. Anyway, youngster gamers who have not experianced the evolution in games will never appreciate them the way us mid-range to older gamers do. FYI, I'm 20-years-old. -------------------

In some Rare interviews they have said the game has been in development for three years. Perfect Dark came out in 2000 so I know PDZ has not been in development for six years.

Originally this game would have came out on the Gamecube, but it was set back (just like that Adventure/zelda-esqe Star Fox game, it was originally supposed to be fore the N64), and I'm glad they did delay it (and sell out). The game isn't all the Xbox 360 can do, and I'm sure we're going to see some amazing things from it. PS3 is going to be shoving Screenshots of CG rendered movies into the eyes of us all via the internet and gaming magazines until the thing comes out, that's a given. The last generation of console games were, for the most part, pretty in line with eachother. Don't flame me or anything, but most of the visuals could be recreated on the Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube and you'd be hard-pressed to see a difference. I think that's what it's going to be like with the Revolution, PS3, and the Xbox 360. It'll come down to the games, and I hope that Microsoft will come up with some better ones this time around.
The only reason I'm getting the Xbox 360 is because my computer can't run The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. -------------------

You must be thinking of Kameo, that was going
to be for the Xbox, but they changed it to the 360, and you can tell. -------------------

PDZ is the best looking game I have seen for like since Halo came out. I cant wait to play it for hours and hours of fun, and on live. I am thinking at being proficient with a sniper, shield, and stealing. Hope to see you online when I get my 360.
