LOL. I still get a kick out of people who say Halo 2 takes no skill. Trust me, Halo 2 takes a lot of skill. It's just a lot more about tactics and strategy, whereas PDZ is mainly just about aim.

I think the main problem with PDZ is that for some reason the enviroment and lighting falls flat on its face, namely in the levels to do with the jungle and temple, I can barely play them, let alone enjoy them.

It's games like PDZ that make you realize how amazing halo and halo 2 are.

Halo & Halo 2 > PDZ.

But in PDZ (and other games, not to just pick on this one) the movement starts off slower and gets faster the longer you hold the stick.
Its also like that on counter-strike. When everyone puts the speed on very high, i put it on medium and high. Thats why i kick ass.....joking if you didn't notice

Well...Counter-Strike was always same speed, like Halo. No speeding up involved.

Although, I think no auto-aim is fine. We needed auto-aim back in PD days because, does anyone remember how freaking hard it was to aim otherwise? It was like playing with your forehead, it just sucked so much ass without the help of it. Now, in today's age, we have two sticks along with great control, so it's not so bad.

Man...I'll never forget those days where my friends and I would hole up on MP maps and fortify against bots, those were some awesome games.

Halo 2s all about host. I never thought it was, but I've now realised it is.

lol you make me laugh.
Halo 2 is about winning and if you lose then you have to complain about something. Host, Weapon whoring, oversheld whoring, using nothing but noob weapons, laggy server, i have a paper cut on my trigger finger. grow up and let it go, there are so many worse things going on in halo then people having host.

Makes me feel a wee bit stupid, but what is this "host" you are talking about?

its whos server the game is being played on. it's a tiny advantage but it never out weighs skill at all.

Hosting only gives you those split second advantages. An example would be like...you both see each other, are going at pretty much the same rate of shield reduction from continuous fire, but if there was a millisecond where both of you would have died at the same time, the host would come out on top.

That's pretty much the only advantage to it, besides ruining the game and standby-ing. Which reminds me, Bungie fixed that already right?

However if the host lives on the other end of the globe and has a bad connection then he will have an advantage.

re: "Playing and aiming in PDZ is like playing an FPS on a PC with a laptop's touch-pad. Simple as that."

Sure, I agree, but on Halo 2 the host has advantages that other games don't, for instance in Halo 2 the host gets extraordinary shotgun poweress, a host with shotgun can kill someone from 2 meters away but a non host takes a shotgun at point blank followed by a melee. Now of course all games lag and give unfair advantages, and I was naive to say Halo 2 is all about host, but hosts get some powers that should be fixed. In counter-strike if someones host they get a split second advantage, but there shotguns aren't more powerful. This is especially annoying because I mostly play double team, that plays on small maps, small maps, shotgun advantage, it can invoke much aggravation. Surely you agree.

I find PDZ takes more tactics and strategy to win than Halo 2. It may be because of the people I play with on Halo 2, as everyone like to rush and get killed for some reason .
