Hey,

Acouple of days ago i went to my house in Bruma and looked in the chest and i had around 600 scrolls missing with some armour and weapons. I didn't think much about it because i thought it could of been in my house in the waterfront, I went to the waterfront and these items weren't there and i just didn't think about it for around 2 or 3 days untill i was doing the Thieves Guild storyline.
I had to fence like 600 gold and i went into the armour shop and the shop keeper was still in there so i hid in his room till he went. As he left i went into his cupboards and stuff and in one of the cupboards/drawers i found all the items i lost...

I dunno if he stole them or what but it seemed really weird that he had the items that got stolen from my house...



Has this happened to anyone else??

NPC's can't steal from your house, and none of the storages in your house respawn. So technically, what happened to you is impossible.

the first part is plausible. containers do "lose" things. but it's just a display error. if you take everything, all your stuff will be there, you just might have to return things 1 by 1 to find what you want. happens especially with stuff repaired to 125%.

the second part could be coincidence. if the missing items are common, they could also appear in a shop.

gullible.

It's a real shame that people think they can actually get away with this crap. Most of the people here know the friggin' source code by heart practically - there's no faking it with this.

well, as i see, there are three possibilities:

• what i wrote above, a combination of the container display bug, and coincidence with common items.
• he actually sold his stuff to the merchant, forgot, and then found the merchant's chest where items for sale are secretly stored. finding them is difficult, and i'm not totally sure getting into one is possible.
• he's lying.

Why would you shove that much stuff into one chest ?

Lol i've got six different containers that i use all in Rosethorn Hall as well, swk.

One for all my enchanted weapons that i've collected.

One for all my enchanted armour.

One for all my arrows(enchanted or not), keys, and any other useless junk.

One for all my scrolls and soul gems.

One for all my alchemy ingredients and potions(some useful, some for ones that i really need to sell). I'm trying to get at least one of every ingredient in there so it's useful for whenever i need to make a perfect potion.

Finally there's one chest full of normal leveled armour and weapons, which i either need to sell or enchant.

Yeah i like to collect and keep any enchanted unique armour and weapons that i find on my travels...
