I'm getting the impression from all some cynical and sarcastic commentary directed at this lastest version of dw5 that maybe people are tired of the game itself. Is it possible to become anti-dw5? I just think maybe a vacation from all things dw might be the answer. And just maybe the indifference to the xbox 360 will stop.

Not tired of the game per se, but mostly tired of Koei and its dirty tricks. Its always expansion pack this, Xtreme Legends that, special edition, and so on...

It gets old, real fast, you know?

From DW1 to DW2 was a big genre jump.
From DW2 to DW5 however, barely a change (relatively).

You are on the right trail picking up on the cynicism. Here comes a next generation console, and what does Koei do? Make a ground breaking sequel? No! A rehash of something from almost a year ago (when it will be released compared to PS2 release).

Koei has dollar signs for eyes (or Yen signs for the Japan market). The money men suits seem to be running things. On the board room wall is a giant plaque reading "If it isn't broke, don't fix it"

They know DW sells like crazy. So they want to cash in for least amount of work so they don't innovate as much as they should. Therefore they have earned our ire.

Hopefully they redeem themselves with DW6 on PS3...

I think this game will be good, I mean seriously this is the Xbox 360 people. They will be able to improve this game to the max.

If by "to the max" you mean re-release a game that came out almost two years ago for a quick buck instead of doing an actual sequel, then yeah, Xbox360 is livin' it up.

Sorry, I don't mean to be so pessimistic and rude. Most of my grief is aimed at Koei the company. Xbox360 has some potential in some areas, but it isn't even breaking a sweat for this game. Its just pathetic shelf filler for launch.

For shame Koei! I don't care if you give Xbox360 DW6 before PS3, just give us DW6!

I see what you are getting at, DW5 was already out & we know all about it so they should come out with something new.

As much as I like DW5, even I've been just getting tired of playing it. Call it DW5 burnout, I suppose.

Ive saved up about 600 or 700 dollers waiting for the release of the PS3.

I like Dynasty Warriors 5. They bought Guan Ping, and Xing Cai into the fight. As far as xtreme legends goes... well they really need to stop making them if it's going to be the same bullshit every game. I love Empires though which is weird. I like the fact that you can build an army from scratch and be the most powerful ruler in China. I don't get sick of that. I think they should just add all the different versions of Dynasty Warriors in one game. The normal story mode, xtreme legends, and empires in one game would be sick. Also i think they should add Cheng Pu as a selectable character and Zhu Ran. They should most definitely add Guan Xing and Zhang Bao because they kick ass!
