	I've heard about ppl who become very good halo 3 players but seem not to be able to pass a certain level, no matter how much they win. Is it actually true that bungie won't let you level up under certain circumstances? ------------------- You're dumb if you click here

So, like myself, if you have a lot of games played, it will eventually "Lock" on you. 	Im level 33, I play better than level 40's I went on a 30 match winning streak, (with help from a level 49 on a secon account) that got me from 32 to 33. its possible to keep going after rank lock, but it takes so goddamn much to get one level. ------------------- Good night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers

	Its true. On my old account, I was a level 46 and couldn't get any higher. I made a new account and got to level 50 in under 100 games. Bungie obviously bleeped something up. Haha. ------------------- Christmas Banner Competition! Winner recieves a prize!

	I remember once, before I had ranked much in TS, I got stuck at level 22, but it was only temporary--we went on a major winning streak and I didn't level up but when I was playing later I leveled up normally. I'm guessing this isn't the phenomenon that you guys are talking about. ------------------- been... since... conclusions... or... posts... boring

	It's not a bug, it's a representation of your actual level. Your not ranking up because you're at the level you should be. It's called the True Skill system and has to do with win/loss and streak. 	In theory that's true. But for a player who has improved from a true 40 to a true 50 over, say, 6 months, it's almost impossible to get there b/c bungie thinks you should be 40, so there's rank lock. ------------------- You're dumb if you click here

	No, you had the momentum from leveling from the beginning on second go. You said yourself before that you barely lost a game on your second account. This affects your win spree which is a factor. Plus you were more experienced meaning you won more games in general. When you started getting to the level you were on your first account again, your Sigma and Mu values were already good, so it was easier to level through the ranks that used to give you trouble. 	I've tried a couple times, loosing about 2-4 games in row in that playlist will "unlock" most of the time. Sometimes it did'nt work, but it usually does for me. But under no circumstances should you do this unless you have stayed at same rank for a 6+ winning streak trust me.
