Halo 2 or Halo 3

i replayed Halo 2 not so long ago and i found that it was extremely hard. On Halo 3 i can have most the skulls on on legendary and win easily, but on Halo 2 am crap.

Anyone the same??

ahh legandary on Halo 2 is much harder plus its like having the skull on that makes you restart when you die.

And the bash your way to better health skull, tbh makes it alot easier.. :/

Halo 2 is soooo hard. I die regularly on normal difficulty mainly because enemies can use rocket launchers, energy blades and shotguns, whereas on 3 they don't

Online, I think simply because the series has been out for so long at this point and so many people have gotten so good, I think Halo 3 is generally harder, in that the maximum skill level that players have reached is probably higher, as might be demonstrated with MLG and montages.

As for campaign...you can die ridiculously easily in Halo 2's legendary and the elites can take an inordinate amount of damage to kill if you don't use a plasma weapon to lower their shields. Both legendary campaigns require you to be very careful and go pretty slowly.

Did you mean to say Halo 2? People have been playing Halo 2 for longer than Halo 3, so by your logic, Halo 2 should be harder .

It's been a long time since I've tried Legendary on Halo 2, so I'm not sure which campaign is harder, but the skill level difference in Halo 2 online play is at a much broader range. The difference in skill between players in Halo 3 really isn't too large in relativity to Halo 2. With double-shooting and all that mess, some players become gods in comparison to other players who are generally good at FPS games. I have a couple friends whom I can hold my own against in Halo 3, but in Halo 2, it's not even close.

Well, I suppose you could look at it that way, but the way I see it is as follows. The people that got good at Halo 1 had a higher starting skill level for Halo 2, which almost everyone switched to because it had online play. (obviously just talking about the console versions now.) The people that got really good at Halo 2 then also could transfer most of their built-up skill to Halo 3 when almost everyone switched to that. I would imagine that most of the people online on Halo 2 just pop on from time to time, not on a regular basis. (I guess I'm not sure about that, though.) So they probably aren't quite as used to the specifics of it after playing a lot of Halo 3. But honestly, you can play at any level online and find good matches, although it's a little harder when you're not very good because you get the second-accounters and such.

Hmmm, OK, so after I typed all that I then read the second paragraph. I can see how button combinations would tend to widen the skill gap, so I guess in light of that I would agree with you.

plus the only people who still pay 2 online will be hardcore fans, meaning that they're are probably very good

Halo 2 is easily the hardest in the series because of how easily you can die, how many snipers there are, the Ultra Elites, and any number of other ridiculous shit.
