If you leave a ranked match, will you lose a rank and exp or both?

If you leave the game early and your team wins, you'll still get a rank boost. However, you'll still lose XP, no matter if your team won or lost.

How come in ranked games i quit i don't lose or acquire EXP, and then i win in a game i still don't acquire or lose XP or Skill, then i win another game i acquire skill and level.
