Well that's what it already is. People just post their screenshots there. But with a forum They can post them and have the entire thread for comments on them.

Sounds a bit over the top to me. There are forums on Neoseeker that get 5x as many screenshots as this one, none have a portfolio forum. Besides, I can definatly see the interest in screenshots wearing off after a while.

Well this is different though. In this game it's taken to a much greater level where you can basically paint a portrait within the game. But so far I guess it may be a little too early to know whether this would be a good idea or not. Obviously we wouldn't want to have a short lived forum phase.

How about we have contests for Best Screenshot instead of a complete subforum? We could have competitions for "best glitch", "Most Artistic", "Dumbest Shot" etc.

Yeah we're considering a number of things for the screenshots you can take in Halo 3. That is one of them. Darknet actually PMed me about that today.

I think we can drop the spoiler alerts now. The game has almost been out for 2 weeks, I'd bet that every single poster in the forum has played Halo 3, and probably finished the story. If they read a spoiler, that's their fault for being too inquisitive.

I don't. Some people may not be getting the game until the Christmas season. Right now the rule is a little bit more let loose though. Only thing I ask is not to put spoilers into thread titles. And just as a courtesy, to mark spoilers. It's not too much to ask is it?

You'd be surprised. I played a whole heap of matchmaking last night, and I always check the other team's service records before the game starts. The amount of high level people who haven't even started the campaign is pretty shocking. =|
