Right now all Halo forums are pretty much can be used to discuss any General Halo topic(ex. Halo Novels, Movie[at least up until the Halo Movie forum is created in the movies section], Trivia, Red vs. Blue, etc... anything not strictly Halo 2, Halo CE, or Halo 3 related). As part of an act of pushing the shift of activity generation across the Halo forums to the Halo 3 forum, broaden the variaty of more meaningful threads in the Halo 3 forum(right now its like %90 speculation n shit), and polish the discussion environment across all the Halo forums, and keep the Halo 2 and Halo CE forums a little more focused on their specific topics, I would like to highly encourage all General Halo discussion to all be here in the Halo 3 forum and keep the Halo 2 forum to mainly focus on specifically Halo 2 related topics. This is the same with all other Halo forums. Now this is not necessarly to be taken as some type of rule and I'm not going to be too rigid about it. It's just an encouragement and a moderator act by me and my co-mod in Halo 2, pyroguy56011 in the efforts stated above and in determination of hopefully influence a posetive effect in all of the Halo boards. The Halo 2 Topic Directory will be cleaned of General Halo topics as part of this effort as well. Halo 3 will be sort of like the General Halo forum as well as Halo 3 forum, except it's not, which is why there is no particular rule established here. So feel free to post General Halo topics here in the Halo 3 forum more so. Something to take into regard. Thanks!!

Guys please stop with the flooding and the spam. It's one thing to want to post a lot but another when all those posts are some of the most insipid shit ever. Due to this a majority of the threads' discussion quality in this forum have gone out the window all downsized to back and forth small talk. So again, I am asking all who continue to pour the forum with this shit to please stop. I have already given out several warnings for people to stop. And I've already had to remove one person from the forum. I won't hesitate to put any more people on probation for this.

It looks like the notice I have made above as well as warnings I have given to several members regarding this is not working and people are still continuing to go on mindless posting sprees. Let me lay out the Dos and Don'ts so hopefully everyone will get the idea.

Do:

• Post if you have something to say that contributes to the thread's topic.
  
• Compile all the thoughts and comments you want to post into one post.


Do not:
• Go on back-and-forth chatting sprees with members in the thread.
  
• Go off-topic.
  
• Spread out your thoughts and comments into numerous posts. Ones such as just going on and on every other post.
  
• Flame
  
• Start or engage in altercations with other members in threads.
  
• Post anything that does any more or less than fit what's on the Do list.

I just want to make everyone aware in consideration to the current and impending Halo 3 information leaks coming from newsstand magazines. Scans of magazines are not allowed to be posted or linked - at least until the next issue of that magazine is released. You may relay information provided by the magazine articles in your posts or obtain the scans on your own somehow but not publicly through Neoseeker. This is something that Neoseeker could get sued for. It may sound harsh to some but just consider and bear with the policy. Thank you for your consideration.

I just want to remind a few things to everyone who is involved in the slave auctions. I don't mind you making your posts in fancy patterns, fonts or some type of signature but I definitely will not tolerate any hit-and-run spam/flame/random BS posts you might have been ordered to make here in this forum. If you decide to do so, I will have you and your slaveowner banned from this forum for 20 days and be reported to the super moderators and the people running the Slave Auction with a recommendation for further disciplinary action taken. So go ahead and enjoy the auction but leave any shit orders like such out of this forum.

Any threads discussing issues specifically regarding the BETA should remain in the BETA thread. This does not however, include general Halo 3 gameplay, weapons, features discussion and whatnot. I'm talking about threads specifically addressing BETA issues and queries.

Specifically such topics that should remain only in the BETA thread:

• Problems downloading or launching the BETA
  
• Arranging games with fellow members on the BETA
  
• Specific Information pertaining primarily to the BETA

We are now less than a month and a half away from the release of Halo 3. As the release of Halo 3 approaches, spoilers of the storyline have been leaking into the internet. I am making it known right now that any reckless posting of spoilers will result in an instant 19 day ban from the forum likely with a recommendation to the forum-wide administration to implement harsher penalties.

This includes:

• Posting spoilers in the thread title.
• Posting spoilers without the [spoiler=title][/spoiler] tag.
• Basically posting any spoilers prior to the September 25 release. Right now, I don't see any reason for any spoilers to be posted in this forum until then.

Just so everyone knows you are still advised to use the [spoiler] tag when posting spoilers. Also posting spoilers in thread titles or campaign help threads are absolutely prohibited.

Now as far as visitors who have not completed the game and are concerned about getting the story spoiled for them, you are advised to stay away from the forums until you complete the story. Completing the story on Easy or Normal first is the best way to go just to get the story. If you really need help with campaign and are unable to proceed, consult an FAQ/Walkthrough somewhere on the internet otherwise you may create your own thread and not worry too much about getting the game spoiled. However there is only so much we can do for everyone. Discretion is strongly advised if you choose to browse the forums while having not completed the game.
