Just cause you saw the Ark firing means nothing. The Halos almost started to fire but the blast can be disabled as Francesco said. You cannot decide anything about the trailor without seeing what happens before and after it, you could be right, but most people think it is the Ark, and from what the Ark is described as, it sounds as if this actually is the Ark, not some gargantuan plasma bomb gun that the covenant found.

It might not be a thrid through the game. Things change, and more is added to campaign. Besides, Bungie can lie, that's the great thing about freedom of speech. No one would hate them for lying if they made a really sick, kick ass game, and they know that.

bungie can lie, and lieing is a great sales tactic they they used for halo 2. i rewatched the halo 1 and halo 2 trailors and i saw some serious bull shit in them that never happened

has it occurred to anyone that the halos might not work anymore? i mean the were created trillions of years ago so according to the chaos theory octillions of variables have affected the halos seince then. mabye they are in a state of disrepair. the first actual firing that three four three guilty spark mensioned could have been the big bang and the sentinals could be malfunctioning. the flood survived because the halos only destroy semi large animals and the halos are designed not to destroy the flood but to kill theyre food.

my main point is that the halos could just not work. stranger things have happened in the halo universe.

Well in the video there was a whole Covie cavalry fleet flocking to it. Seemed more of a War of the Worlds type thing. A lot of good points were brought up even in Bungie forums. Such as the Covenant having arrived on the Earth long ago before Humans. I dunno about that. This isn't something I looked deep into but I dunno, something to think about.

Is it just me that's noticed that this probably won't happen anyway, considering the white light that came from the thing (if it's like the white light from the Halos, or when that ship went to slipspace in Halo 2), it killed everything there, including the Chief
