re: New Control Scheme

Yeah, but that's actually somewhat realistic. I mean, if I'm sitting two feet away from blue team base shouting commands into my microphone, the blue team is obviously going to hear me.

Hell, if you realize you're within range of the other team, you can trick them by saying stuff like "Yeah, take the flag down the left side!" when you know your flag carrier is running down the right side.

Plus, it's funny as hell to hear people trying to coordinate plans and communicate with their team without realizing they're being overhead. Ask DBZ, some of our funniest moments ever have come from proximity hearing (the "don't quit, we can still win" incident).

re: New Control Scheme

i had read somewhere that the X button woundnt reload your gun and that relaoding was now more handsfree, i kinda want the X button to go between positions, ie, standing, crouching, prone.

other than that make the right and left bumpers item and weapon swaps, the triggers fire guns and toss nades...i am happy like camper.

I want the right bumper to be smote. That way you can melee someone without taking your right thumb off the stick. Sometimes in Halo 2 that last-minute lack of control would cause you to miss entirely. If you could keep your thumb on the stick all would be well.

I think it'd be badass if there were a kamikaze or terrorist mode on multiplayer. Have one guy with bombs planted on him, and he has to hold the X button. When he lets go, BOOM! The other guys try to guide that one guy to the enemy base without him blowing up or getting picked off. Unlike a bomb, you can't just hand it off to someone. You either fail and blow up, or you succeed and blow up. Either way, the bomb carrier is pretty much *bleep*ed.

Makes me think of CTF on Blood Gulch with Pyro and DBZ where they'd stick plasma grenades to me and I'd drop in the top of the base to take out some guys in there along with myself...

re: New Control Scheme

I don't think using the left and right bumpers to change weapons would be a good idea at all. Whats the point in using 2 buttons to switch between 2 weapons, when one would do the exact same thing?

I always found boxer really handy in Halo 2, because that way the melee was the left trigger, the only problem was that if you used grenades a lot (stickies in particular), it made it REALLY hard to get a succesful stick.

CTF/Assault on Gulch had some wierd and wonderful tactics. Like, at the start of the round, grab the banshee and get someone to stand on the nose. That way, you can fly them to the other base and grab the flag, plant the bomb.

Our team (Of which Sinner was a part), were literally UNBEATABLE at CTF or assault on Headlong. We had such an awesome strategy, I actually don't ever remember being beaten.

My Halo 3 anticipation meter just jumped up about 5 notches after seeing those scans
