I apoligize for what I'm about to say. I know what your thinkin'. Why would someone who hates GoW so much, take the time to bitch about it? Well, I just have to vent. And I already pissed my friends off with my rant, and now I'm about to piss all of you off.

Gears of War is terrible! The game design, is the worst I've ever seen on the 360. I haven't played many games for the 360, only some of the ones that have gotten a lot of hype and good reviews. And Gears is by far the one that pisses me off the most. I have never played a game that made my blood pressure boil! Until I looked at this game. If anybody who actually understands how it works actually plays it, they would prolly say some of the same stuff I'm about to say. And no don't claim you understand this shit if you don't please.

Ok first of all, how long did it take to come up with the physics engine? 2 hours??? I mean seriouslyh. Pay attention next time you play. Notice how clunky the physics are. That's because behind all the pretty pictures, are nothing but square blocks.

I know, "But dude, thats what all games are." Although that may be somewhat true, Halo has more complex shapes and has a better envoriment. Gears has like no interactive enviroment what so ever. Halo on the other hand, has plenty of interaction. I mean all those damn crates for one. Not to mention the fusion cores. And the turrets! Oh wait I forgot War Machine. The turret that has such a complex system where you can shoot with no reticle, yet it takes a sceond to load up just to sit in the damn thing. Yes the one new map has the little krill or whatever, but do you realize how simple it is to add something like that in? And its not even that innovative to the game!

Don't even get me started on the wireframing. There were a couple of people bitching about it in a player match and I just thought they were jackasses with bad aim. But I tested it out in local match and it's very true. The head is so *bleep*ed up wich now explains to me what was wrong with my sniping. I could always hit the target, and I swear up and down it was in the head, but I was wrong.

Also, the lag is absolutely terrible! I mean almost a whole second when versing the host. Pay attention to your next firefight with anybody. Whenever you shoot, you'll see the smoke and bullet hole appear nearly a second later. It ain't just my connection, because even my friends who love the game agree with me so don't try to tell that shit about my connection. Besides that, I get a shit load of MBP. There is no way it could be my connection. In Halo, The host lag is like sooo much smaller than GoW.

And since when did timimg your reload effect the damage? That's the most *bleep*ed thing I've ever heard!

Anyways, I'm done with my pointless rant. I'm done with GoW and I will be boycotting GoW 2 thank you

I would just like to point out that the lag you experience is the hosts connection, you can't blame Gow for that, however much you try.

Thank you for enjoying my bashing of this game. I actually do not hate GoW as much as a claim, but I was really pissed off at this guy i found in matchmaking on Halo bashing the hell out of Halo. He was all high and mighty on his Gears of War. I was just pointing out why Halo is more complex than Gears really. You guys should look up some programming stuff and you will see what I mean when you play Gears again.

Oh and I left out the fact that when you jump over walls and baricades, that it's just an animation which is also very gay!

Like I said people, just a pointless rant. I do not actually hate Gears. Did you notice in my last post that I said I was venting?

Anyways, by popular demand, (actually one guy) more rants to come! I'll definetly start one on Killzone later. Even if I haven't played the game yet just because Sony is truly full of shit when they say that's their response to Halo 3. Seriously, I wanna beat the shit out of anyone who claims Killzone even comes close to Halo! And Bioshock will come once I get a chance to play it. But I think the very next rant will be on... World of Warcraft. I have a lot of shit to say about that!!!

And btw. Exlpain to me how I'm supposed to make a game better than GoiW without proper funds or a company for that matter. And I know for a fact that Epic wasn't low on funds. Especially after the Unreal games.

Also, before you claim you know how the physics in a game works, I want you to tell me exactly how a superbounce works. Also, tell me how many scripts it takes just to make the crates on Halo 2 move when you hit them. You wanna know why I say GoW is simple? Because everything in the maps are all mapped out and like I said they didn't even try to create interactive enviroments. When I say mapped out, that means that there are no meshes or any kind of complicated sripts to mesh everything together. Which actually can be a good thing in some cases. One of the reasons the superbounces on Halo exist is because of the different meshes they used. If you would like me to explain the superbounces more, just ask. Trust me, Bungie didn't just want us to use those to our advantage and get to extremely high places. Nor is it just magic.

Oh and I forgot to mention the limited gameplay in Gears. It's all basicaly the same. When in Halo you have sooo much more options with everything. And I don't care what no one says, Assassination is the gayest gametype ever!

And one more thing (lol! this is going on forever) When you say don't compare'em. Bullshit I can't! Maybe not as FPS or TPS, but I can as an overall game. All I gotta do is compare success, audio, graphics, gameplay, and replay ability. I could compare hype to, but that's just stupid. No game actually lives up to a fanboy's expectation (unfortunatly).

Ok seriously, last paragraph. I just also wanna say that Halo 2 is not the greatest game ever. But I think it can claim a lot of titles with X-box Live, anticipation, and sales. Also, Bungie never stated that Halo 3 will close the series. Read Bungie.net's Q and A. Someone asked, "Will Halo 3 be the end of the series?" Bungie replied, "Halo 3 will end this current story arc." *hint* *hint*. That may not be exactly word for word, but that's what they said. Only the end of the arc. Plus don't forget about Halo Wars.

Compare Halo to Gears to your heart's content, but I doubt many will listen. That's because its a pointless discussion, it really is. Why bother comparing two great games if the reasoning behind the argument is to merely undermine one of the titles?

I put it to you that you're an overly defensive fan of Halo and feel scorned by Gears, for the simple reason that its just as good Halo. Gears takes some of the limelight away from your precious Halo and you don't like that one bit. Pretty sad really.

God help anyone who suggests to you that they prefer Bioshock to Halo.
