i have x-box live my gamertag is PyRoTaG if anyone wants to play but i just wanna try some things and test stuff without x-box live and i thought "y not play split screen without x-box live" and i dont know how to sign in 2 profiles at once without x-box live can someone tell me how?

i wud do x-box live but when i try 2 sign in guest it says the membership is not valid....

On the main menu, have 2nd player sign in with the Xbox Guide. Just have 'em press the guide button and then 'Y'? Or maybe 'X'. One of the two.

forgive me for double post but.. i have no idea what ur talking about i went to main menu and there is no player 2 sign in thing the 2nd controller doesnt even have light on, and i dont know what the guide is and if its the book i lost it somewhere...can u mabey explain exactly how to do it?

1.turn on the second controller
2.press the big button with the x on it
3.press x to signin (you'll need to have a secong profile on your xbox)

I don't think he even knows how to sync the controller to the xbox. He'll need to do that first, then turn the controller on and sign in with the guide button.

Ok. Intensive walkthrough here. Watch out.

Plug in Controller 1.
Plug in Controller 2.
Turn on Console.
Observe the centre button with the large green X.
If this button has a small green quadrant/line on one side of it, then continue. If not, Hold down the Start button and wait for it to power up.
Press Start to go to the main menu.

Do this and repeat with your second controller, signing into the second account. Do not the first controller out and do not select the same account twice.

If you want to look at the multiplayer maps or play on them, do this.

Using controller 1, Select Versus.
Select Local.
Configure how you would like your game to be setup and start.

If you wish to play Cooperative on the campaign, then do this.

Select Campaign using controller 1.
Select Split-Screen, pick your chapter and difficulty and start the game.
Do not select Join Co-Op Game or Host Co-Op Game as these require xbox live.

but, still me player 2 controller doesnt work, its a black one, i plug them both in and and turn on consel the green light comes on the P2 controller(all of the lights not just one) but it doesnt work for carp....it seems n o matter what i do it doesnt work....
