Shadow is hegdehoging the spotlight as others have said, I even read that there are more fans for the other characters getting there own game that Sonic himself, the artical asked is this the end for our spikey blue friend? This is supposed to go back to the roots of Sonic the orginal Sonic 1 creater is trying to help bring back what the old fans feel has gone missing from the game. So if Shadow were in it as much as I like him, he should stay low key like in 2player mode or just maybe appear in a cut-scene somewhere, but he has his mission so he doesn't interfer really, or unlockable missions for him.

He doesn't need to be in the spotlight he has his own game.

I want to see Tails flying free or following Sonic and lending a lift to higher secret areas. It would be cool if Sonic could whistle and Tails would fly down and start following, and can be controled player 2. I mean just have Sonic and Tails flying the plane when they get shot down or have engine trouble, voila instant travel on foot with Tails.
Better yet I want to see 4 player races thorough full levels! that would be insane and fun!

I want to at least see Sonic, Tails and Knuckles in it, they are the classics to me, and maybe Amy if they bring back her awesome hammer jump ^^ For an odd character I want to see Cosmo, probably won't though

I believe theres a good chance its going to be Sonic only though.
