Sounds like you just suck.
do u even have this game? its very hard i agree that it is hard. boss fights are a challenge since there health doesnt go down fast and they are pretty smart (most the time). and having to rescue people is very hard also since they keep getting caught. i tried saving this black guy while holding onto this injured women, i tried getting him but he was surrounded by zombies, so he died and the women i let go of died also cause she couldnt fight back :/. the constant side msisions going on makes this game hard, cause unless u want a good ending then doing side missions is also a very hard thing since you keep getting new cases and having to keep going back and forth to the security room.

*a little spoiler near end game bout to explain*

at the end the gay ass special forces come out and start shooting at everyone i found that very diffcult to get by since they are very strong and it takes about 5 shotgun shots to kill one of them, but they got machine guns so tryng to kill 2 at a time will get u killed. o and speaking of them. i have no idea wat to do on that part. all i did was run all the way back to the helipad and wen i got on time the guy who was supposed to pick me up was looking accross the street at the helipad with his binoculars and he got eaten. is there somthing i have to do wen the special ops come? and is there somthing i have to do with isabela?

re: Is this game a rental, or a purchase?

I'd highly recommend that you rent this title before buying it.I purchased it straight out and if I could get a refund I would.

The game has great graphics and fun battle, great weapons but it feels as if it was rushed and many of it's gaming mechanics are seriously and horrendously flawed.

This is the kind of game you want to take your time with, explore and have fun at your leisure. It has many secrets and fun things to find out about. Unfortunately the quest system is EXTREMELY hurried and if you have any kind of adventurous or inquisitive aspects to your personality you will 100% fail this game the first time through and then have to start over again from the beginning most likely.

Side quests would be a very bad idea to do the first time you play. You have to stick to the main quests or you will fail the game. Even more so as the game progresses.

Some "event" fights are silly. Humans you have to kill that somehow have 100000x more Hitpoints than a zombie and also have perfect aim while shooting between their legs.

The save system is *bleep*ed at best. It's ridiculous that in this day and age games companies have not learned from save systems like those in HALO or realized that people do have a real life and might like to just save NOW to go to the store etc. and pick up from where they left off. And no, there is nothing fun about redoing the last 30 minutes worth of stuff that you already just did.

I'm very let down by this game as it has so much potential if they had only made a few very minor changes to how the quest and save system works. They took what could have been one of the best open ended, non-linear, non-forced storyline games into a forced and hurried production.

I simply don't have the patience to slog through it. It's a shame really that this game failed to be the 10 it could have so easily been.

The devs behind Dead Rising need to seriously ask themselves "What made GTA the huge sucess it is?" The short answer... "It's the opposite of Dead Rising". GTA succeds becuase it's open ended and you can have tons of fun (sometimes more fun) by being distracted or not even following the story at all. Why O Why didn't you make Dead Rising like this? Are you mental??? Please for the love of god and all that is holy games developers, grow a brain.

re: Is this game a rental, or a purchase?

Im a bit disappointed with Dead Rising also. But, considering it was a birthday gift and not something I had to buy myself, I cant really complain about not getting my money's worth, because I put nothing in.

I can honestly say though, that I would NOT pay 60 bucks for this game. I guarantee you that you will be able to pick this game up somewhere used for around 30 bucks, which would then be a pretty good bargain.

There are many things that piss me off in this game, but none moreso than the lack of ability to MOVE AND SHOOT. I mean, this is CAPCOM!! They just put out RE 4 and it had excellent gameplay. So why the hell are we now rooted to the ground as a stationary target when we wish to fire a weapon?????

Oh those bastards in the jeep are so much fun to deal with because of this. Maybe I wouldnt mind it if it only took a single headshot to kill them, or 3-4 to the chest, but no, it takes like 6 headshots to kill any of them. All the while they completely ignore the zombies and focus on you. When you want to fire, you have to become a perfect sitting duck not only for the crack-shot gunner on the back, or his road rage crazed driver, but also the horde of zombies that approach you, seemingly oblivious to the fact that there are 3 more humans to eat just right there.

I cannot tell you how many times I have died in that f'in park. I try to just run through, they catch and kill me. I try to combat them with firearms, they, combined with the zombies, kill me again. The only way I managed to get through when I did was using the QUICKSTEP concoction from the foodcourt. (Yogurt+Milk in the blender)

I mean, it wouldnt be so bad if you just had to take em out once. But no, every time you go back into that damned park, there these assholes are again ready to cost you every bit of your progress.

If I could move and shoot, these bitches would be NOTHING. But since I have to become a turret in order to fight back, it drasticly decreases my chances.

The NPC's, I dont even bother. Really. Any AI that functions this moronic, you shouldnt even waste your time with. No matter how many times I direct them to stay in one place, or to follow me, the jackasses always seem to do the complete opposite. They run 3X slower than you, so you have to walk while they run. If you enter a new section more than 3 steps ahead of them, theyre too goddamned stupid to figure out where you went.

Ill be honest with you. I got no greater joy than seeing the CG sequences of these losers being eaten alive. Watching slowass Burt getting his guts ripped out while screaming for me to help him was absolutely outstanding. All the while, I directed obsceneties toward him on the screen, thats what you get for being a slowass dumb****, now die. Die slow and screaming, and you enjoy that shit. You must have wanted this, because you sure didnt act like you wanted to live. Die screaming, bitch.

Loved it.

I also dont like how Capcom hamstrings you. I got put into one situation carrying Leah Stein on my back, while also trying to save Sophie Richards in the park. Unfortunately for me, you cant hold Sophie's hand and carry leah at the same time. Theres no safe place to leave either of them either, because once you go to the next area, one of them dies. Its bullshit. Maybe youre just not meant to be able to save all of them, I dont know. Its the only sane explanation I can think of for the horrific game design in regard to these rescues.

The saving system is ludicrous. Only one save allowed per storage device. So if you have the HD and 2 memory units, this isnt so bad. However, if youre like me and just have a memory unit, it sucks. One save, and thats it.

The saving points are ridiculous as well. While the save rooms worked great in the RE series for capcom, Resident Evil never had such strict time constraints on making it to the next place on time. Time seems to be everything in this game, with so many side missions to try to get to, as well as the main story, you just dont have the time to constantly run back and save your progress after completing a key event.

A quicksave would have made this game worlds better. Hell, it probably wouldve made the solitary save slot more tolerable also.

Its sad that these nasty issues plague an otherwise enjoyable zombie killing experience. Im very happy I didnt pay for this game, you can be very sure of that. I would have been pretty irate if I had.

re: Is this game a rental, or a purchase?

Agreed. Amazingly, not expected from the "360," the AIs are so obviously stupid. It's even worse than StarWars Battlefront II's AI. (The Clones) The save points and how you have to rescue others are rediculous. I didn't buy this game myself, but I still regret for choosing this game.

I do, however, like the plot and the creativity. But it's just suck in every obvious point. =.=

Basicly my question to anyone who has the game, is this game worthy of the 60 dollar pricetag? Or is it a game that I could get all of the enjoyment that there is to get within a 3 day rental?

Id like to rent it, but the videostore isnt getting it. I wish I had the money to be able to just buy it and not worry about whether Ill regret it later.

It sounds pretty good, but the reviewers always have a way of making a person second guess when it comes down to making the decision to buy or not to buy.

Basicly, how much fun is the game, does it get repetetive or boring, and is the replay value good enough to warrant 60 bucks.

Anyone who can help, id appreciate it.

HOKEY!

As a long running Capcom fan of the ever popular RE series, I will state that first off, this game is EVERY THING RE SHOULD HAVE BEEN!.

The price tag is a mere joke, pay no mind to it, simply get this game and enjoy your countless hours of coming up with crafty ways to slaughter thousands of zombies!. Sounds repetitive, it is really, but it is just so much fun with all the infinite possibilities you have lane out for you.

=.= If only RE 4 is like this. I agree to all that likes the game play. It rocks. Some obvious problems, but still good.
