Hi, just have a simple question I'd like to ask :

Is this game in anyway like RE? cos Im thinking of getting it when I get my 360 back.

so,i liked this game,got to when u 1st meet the convicts 2 or 3 times,wnet out so saved it and got messed up by the dam save feture!!!learnt my mistake,but now,when u have to go get the first aid kit,i also took that chance to defeat the physco at the gun store,and the fat police officer with the girl tied up.but when i get back to the security room its too late,the cases expire!i was wondering,u can still continue so is it possible that only a few of the cases have expired or do i have to start all over again!!!i dont particulary like the side missions,kind of boring but still did em,dont think i will after this!!!

yeah the story has expired when you get that. but you can still play trough and save people and do the other side missions. If you wanna play the story mode, get yourself killed and save and quit. Then when you start up you´ll still have frank levelled up

any1 got a better solution to getting ppl bk 2 the security room as the elevator is filled with zombies,very frustrating!!the survivors cant seem to jump so cant go up the side door!!!i usually use the propone,plant it in formt of the elevator n open,shoot and BOOM!i also sumtimes use the queens but thete arent always there!any other suggestions

1 mor question,can survivors be passengers in the car,i find it quicker goin through the tunnels but dont wana tek a survivor down there becoz of the hoardes o zombies unless u can get them in a car!

Apparently you can, I killed the convicts and stole their humvee and my survivor just automatically jumped into the vehicle as a passenger, however, not sure why you'd want to do it this way, as it's too hard to guide survivors down where all the vans and cars are in the tunnels, especially since the car breaks easily down there.

gd point.its jus so frustratin with the survivors,i find that there jus plain dum,always run into piles of zombies.or even into walls wen u call them.

I've noticed that the reason they're so dumb is that every character in Dead Rising is considered a "zombie" in the game engine. They all have the same basic intelligence. Zombies will walk into walls trying to get to you, surivivors will do the same. When close to you, zombies will attack you, same thing as the special forces, bosses and cult members. They'll all blindly walk into walls and walk around every obstacle instead of jumping over them or walking through them, from survivors to zombies.

I've played some of the RE games, and I think I can safely say that this is NOTHING like RE games. I think the player control in DR is much better, although I'm not 100% happy with the gun control.

Besides, DR has a great FUN factor... assuming you're not trying to rescue survivors with a level 7 Frank, like I'm trying to do.

What works best for your first time through is working your way into the game until you feel like you can't advance any further, then die(?) and save the game to start over with your stats. I think I restarted twice before I could comfortably move around. Damn, Frank is slow at first.

On a side note, I think I hit some odd game quirk where Bert & company won't go into Wonderland Plaza from the Food Court. I tried a couple of times last night, and they kept staying in the Food Court. I'll try again, but boy, was it frustrating.

And darn it, couldn't we have had some cool extras for achievements, like Metal Gear Solid or something?

is it possible to save brad?i was thinking,perhaps if u destroy carlitos van on the bomb mission,he doesnt get brad?

hightlight-no i think if you do the case files you cant save him, i blew up carlitos van with the chainsaws and he still died. go back to him though (as soon as you exit the tunnels go back in) to see what really happens, hes a tough bastard and take a pic to get one of the achivements.

i finished overtime mode today and got the true ending, yay!!! and i got the unbreakable acheivement as well
