	why is it impossible, i stayed there with alan and another girl and killed all the zombies and then they start getting up again, had 648 kills before i even went up the stairs

	Eh, I tried this too. I stuck around and killed every zombie in sight before I found out that they respawn. I was able to save like three or four of the Entrance plaza survivors before I said "screw you guys" and headed up the stairs. But I also know that this sequence was one of the most exciting ways to introduce the game.
