Ok guys, I looked around and couldn't find a thread like this, but if there is one, please close this one.

I'd like this to be a general thread where people can ask for strategies about maniacs/bosses they are having trouble with.
Feel free to post tips and hints, even glitches that helped you to beat certain bosses.

The one I'm having trouble with at the moment is the guy in the gun shop. I just can't handle him, I have 3 handguns (Yes.. 3 ), but can't seem to properly get a good strategy going to get him beaten.
If I get a few good shots off, I can't hide behind the displays properly, and I get hit by his shotgun.

Anyone got a good strategy or weapon to use on him, that you can recommend?

Well i watched a video and This guy Enterd the store then Opend Both doors and Stood outside , Then Cletus just walked up and down the Counter and He just kept Shooting him and then Cletus died

Cletus just takes a lot of patience and quite a few handguns. When I first played him (I was around level 20 at the time), you can eventually hide behind the displays if you get at just the right angle, and Cletus has a bunch of wine behind the counter, just be prepared that as soon as you jump behind the counter, he will pick you up and throw you over the counter. Just keep trying to get behind there and grab a shotgun or two. Pop out when Cletus is reloading and take one shot then hide again.

Or, if you've managed to beat Adam the clown, you can use his chainsaws on all the bosses, takes them down quickly.

I missed the scoop on Adam the Clown, so no chainsaws for me until I get around to him again.

I managed to get a bike down there, but it blows up after I get the second 'item', from running over zombies. Then I get road-killed by Carlito

there is actually kind of a glitch that i beat him with, open the door on the right, and keep the left door closed, u can hide behind the left closwed door and place your gun around the corner of the door, you will beabel to shoot him but he willnot beable to shoot you back, because the glass on the door is bullet proof, and kind of opaque If this does not work for you post back on here and i will try to help you further (im lvl 50 and i beat the game 3 times )

well like u said that u couldnt find any thread like this but if u look closely at ppls threads they make new ones asking for help. probly why u couldnt find any since its all random.

Ok, I'm on the missions with the bombs now, I have to finish it before I have enough time to kill Cleetus in the gun shop.

It's so hard!

I used the katana on Carlito. This one was actually quiote easy. Wait for him to try and ram you and he should get caught on the wall. The you can whack him a couple of times and he should drive off.

If he throws a grenade you can do the flying dodge to prevent getting damaged by it. Make sure you kill him asap though because more zombies appear later. Make sure you have lots of OJ too!

I wan't sure if you could kill him or if you had to just evade him. (I wasn't having much luck with that.)

heres some for the maniacs ive defeated,not all but a select few

here i climed onto the cinema seats and blasted as many smg rounds into as possible,but he then begun climbing onto them it it turned more difficult.i begun to run out of ammo n switched to the sniper,u need to keep ur distance as his sword takes alot of damage!i kept running turning n shootin,without aiming as if u steady ur self he has the chance to get ontop of u!!!so take plenty of ammo!i wudnt use mellee but there cud be other alternatives this is jus how i defeated him!

here i again used guns and stayed away frm her as she seems better at melee and has a stun gun.i used the shotgun,tek 2or 3 for gud mesure!i continually ran around the tables till i was a safe distance to pop her a few times,then ran agian,she used her pistol only once on me!she sumtimes gets stuck on the tables too to mek it easier!

GUN SHOP OWNER
here i hid behind the shelving,very difficult as there were times i could shoot im but he cudnt get me,then all of a sudden without im or me movin he wud hit me!get sum milk frm the supermarket,as many pistols and smgs as u can carry,keep hidden and shoot,there are positions where he cant get u but u can get im!if uve done the convicts there heavy machine gun is supposed to be gd!

ive done a few more like cliff in the homestore but thats all i can b botehred sharin 4 now!

My strategies.

Carlito 1:

Stay in Chris' and shot him several times with the SMG from on top of the sign.

Adam:

Pop the baloons and run up and slice him with the hunting knife or cleaver.Rinse and repeat.

Carlito 2:

Mini chainsaws.

Cletus:

This is where I found out what the Energizer smoothee(sp?) does!I chugged the smoothee(SOMEONE TELL ME IF THIS IS RIGHT!!),stood behind a display,counted his shots(six till reload.), and ran up to the counter.Two swings of the small chainsaws and he was gone.

Carlito 3:

Drove away.

Convicts:

Still havn't beaten em.....

Sean:

I stood outside the room and he just stood in one spot.Mix with three sniper rifles.....Well, you get the picture....

Rogwer,Jack,Thomas:

Chased em and smacked em with a manniquin torso.

Jo:

Gave her a cooked pizza and she had a heart attack.













Not really.I sliced her with the chainsaws.

Larry:

Several rounds of buckshot.

Paul:

Cornered him in the store and hit him a few times.Put him out afterwards.

Cliff:

No real strategy.Just random swingin.

Kent:

I hate this mofo!He killed me in two hits when I got there late.I had to do the bomb run ALL OVER AGAIN!!!I damn near cried.I said screw it and didn't beat him.

Steven:

Jump on top of the shelves and drop down on the other side.Double back and slice him a few times.

i would post how i killed all the bossesbut seriously after adam the clown. i just used the chainsaws on everything

a couple of swipes useually kills anything even when carlito was chasing me in the tunnels!!!! (the gunshop guy as well, just stand at the other side of the counter and attack him!! but dont jump over like i did!!!

the only one i had a slight propblem with was carlito with the sniper as i died once. but the first time i played i killed him with the skateboard a lot easier!!!

wen u first fight carlito and ur tough and dont want to spend all that time waiting for him to get out of cover or reload. then grab a 2x4 and jump up on the crates. run up to him wen hes reloading and hit him about 3 times and he should die. just watch out for his kick.

My friend told me he threw a saw blade at Cletus and it cut off his head. I'm not sure if this works or not though. Haven't tried it out yet.
