they took all the fun stuff out of the 360 version..no defensive playmaker, no minicamp, no madden challenge, no creat-a-player, no in game challenges, no superstar mode..the only thing thats left is frachise and online play..Madden and Michaels arent even the commentators anymore..they got some no name dude from "EA Sports Radio"..the only thing good about this game is the graphics

First off, you cant expect to put all the features from the xbox version into the 360 version, espically with all the new great graphics!! Second, the new broadcaster is awsome. Its not a no name guy smart ass! Dont start saying how this version wont be as good as the xbox version till you play it!! Until then STFU!

Wow. Just... wow.

This is the most disappointing thing I've heard about any 360 game to date. I was looking forward to picking up a version of Madden '06 with cleaner graphics and better gameplay visuals than the Xbox and PS2 ports, but to get those clearer shots, I'll have to sacrifice a few of the gameplay features I've come to love.

Superstar mode I can do without, since I never really liked it that much in the first place, but things like Mini-Camp, Defensive Playmaker Control, and the ability to challenge bogus calls need to remain a part of the game. We shouldn't have to sacrifice these things to receive improved graphics, YuSnYaT85, and MiaFins has the right to be angry. The next-generation consoles should be about bringing out the best in every aspect of a game, not giving us something good while taking away something equally important.

If EA Sports is going to buy the rights to the NFL players, coaches, and teams, it's their duty to create a damn good game, and I'm just not sure this is going to qualify as "good." They act as if they just found out about the console's creation last month, and had to create the game in record time. It's completely stupid on their behalf, and it's really making me reconsider buying the game on this system.

Challenges sucked (as long as the in-game refs dont miss calls, you wont need it. Challenge mode never went back and changed a call that the game AI missed! It misse don purpose 2 be like rela life)

can someone explain how I do hot routes in madden, its much more complicated than i remember and i am not sure which route i am giving to which recever.

thx zero..and YuSnYaT85..why dont you stfu!..did i ask for your smart ass remarks ..no...i posted this before the game was even released.. before the 360 was even released so how the hell do u expect me to play it if it wasnt even out then. dumbass!..i started this thread based on reveiws i read.. and i never bad mouthed the gameplay. i like the gameplay ..but u know some people liked all the extra features..ur not the only one playing the game..and its like zero said next gen games are supposed to bring alot of stuff to the table and this really didnt..and as far as people not liking challenges go ..tough sh1t..its a part of the real NFL so it should be in the game..granted they werent that helpful at times..but i can think of alot of times where they saved my ass..

Here, I'll break it down for you

NO DEFENSIVE PLAYER MAKER. Do you people who are saying "This game is great" even UNDERSTAND what that means? I can't even double cover a guy. For example, I have a someone in Zone cover, and I want to send him to double cover T.O. Well, I can't! I did a test vs the CPU, and my friend.. I scored 12 consecutive drives, all touchdown passes, and no punts at all. Almost all where "hail mary pass" to either Randy Moss, TO, or Harrision (I picked all 3 teams). Since you can't double/triple cover someone in the game, all the player needs to do is simply run a hail mary route, bomb it out, and boom it's a touchdown, or a 60+ yard gain. Randy Moss has 99 speed, just send him on a hail Mary route. Since you can't double/triple cover him, it's a near automatic touchdown catch for him as he'll completely outrun his one lone defender.

The first THREE plays of the game = 3 touchdowns for me. Then my QB threw a bad pass, then I tried again on 2nd down, and there it went again.. In other Maddens I could use defensive play maker to send someone in Zone Coverage to double cover a man. Sure I can just go man-to-man cover, but then that's still just single coverage..

I scored 118 points vs the Patriots CPU on Pro mode. (I picked the Colts). I simply bombed it out to Harrison who has 97 speed every play.. I broke the 1,000 passing yard mark with Manning easily. It was insane.. Defense is almost non-existent in this game without being able to double/triple cover players, and defensive playmaker.

Before, I was giving up about 6 pts/game on average in Madden 2006 for PS2. Then I played on the 360, and gave up 58 points.. Why? Cause my friend kept bombing it out, and my single coverage couldn't stop it.

Madden challenge -- c'mon, there are plenty of calls that I wanted to challenge but I couldn't.

Aligning the defense isn't the same as having everyone in man to man coverage, then 2 safeties in zone coverage. Normally in the other Maddens you could select a Safety, then manually tell him to go man-to-man with any reciver you like. (therefore double covering him). All you had to do was select your defensive player, then press Triangle I believe, then the button of the reciver you want to cover, then "right" on the ps2. Defensive playmaker controls, not in this game.

This game seems like like NFL blitz if anything. The game is super-fast, arcade style paced. They run super fast and wrong, it's just unrealistic. Especially on the kick-offs, it looks extremely fake the way everyone runs super fast. When I was played it on the kickoff, I was like "why are they running so fast". It felt like a Arcade game with good graphics. They also catch too many passes in the game, and defense is not much of a factor in the game anymore. (defensive playmaker controls are gone). As I said before, I normally gave up about 6 pts per game (with a regular team) in Madden 2006 for PS2, as I used defensive playmaker well. Now, in this I gave up 58 points, and then the next game like 40ish? It's the game, not me. That should be proof enough.

I admit when I pop in the game and see the graphics and such, it does look great.

I do miss the Defensive playmaker, as that's the only reason I'm giving up so many points. Since I don't have it, I find it hard to stop hail mary like passes to top rated recivers. I used to play Madden 2006 on All-pro mode, but on Madden 2006 for Xbox it was on Pro Mode. I'll try moving it up to All-pro on Madden 2006, see if it makes any difference.

It's just it feels like you have no control over the defense without "Defensive playmaker".

If it's too easy for you, play on a higher difficulty.

Um, wow are you *bleep*ing kidding me...I mean honestly are you really serious. Normally I don't do this but could you please explain to me why the *bleep* they couldn't put everything from the original versions. Wow*uncontrollable laughter*

All those things arent in the game. That sucks. I have it for PS2 and it is awesome but i would think that they would put that stuff in Xbox 360.

I dont want to say anything bad about EAsports b/c there the Best...............BUT THIS GAME SUCKS!!!!!!!!!
