In the area before the boss, you can find an item that will make your immortals unaffected by the paralyze status.
That'll help if your having troubles with the bosses Para-Flare attack. Other than that my strategy was to kill half the bugs then concentrate on the main boss (attacking with all characters), killing the same bugs when they reappear after a few turns. This gave me time to take down the boss before he'd managed to charge his Para-Flare move. ------------------- ![]()

quote New PlayerAfter you equip the item to your Immortals, they will learn the ability the item contains so you can then equip it as a skill without having to wear the accessory. Do that for all of your Immortals (Seth and Kaim) and then just have Jansen wear the band. But for the battle; You want to attack the insects with Flame attacks, and then water attacks on the worms (with Jansen). Just be physical with Seth and Kaim. ------------------- ![]() Bruce Gradkowski's #1 Fan

I had Seth and Kaim focus on the bugs with physical attacks, whilst Jansen used Aqua on the Biogomaray.
You get Aqua from a chest in the mining section of the Ipsilon Mountain Range. ------------------- I want your love. And I want your revenge

To elaborate on what they have said;
Find the Yellow Band in the previous area from a Treasure Chest. Equip it to Kaim and run around the area for a bit getting into battles, eventually Kaim will learn Anti-Paralysis, set it as one of his skills and then give the Yellow Band to Seth and run around some more until she learns it. Have Seth with Anti-Paralysis in her Skills and give the Yellow Band to Jansen and all you will have to deal with then is a bit of damage from the Para-Flare.

There's actually no reason to take out any of the Magic Insects in that fight. The enemy party has no GC (it's replaced by a Charge Meter for Bogimoray instead), so you can start inflicting full damage on the Bogimoray right away. The Magic Insects don't cause any real damage, and if you've done what the others have suggested with the Yellow Band (have Kaim and Seth master the skill and equip it in the Skills menu, then have Jansen equip the thing), then Para-Flare is just damage, and Jansen has healing magic to counter that.

I just got this game yesterday and had the hardest time killing that Chimera thingy on top of the mountain. I died SIX times before I finally got lucky on the 7th time and killed him (before he could do his flying attack that kills everyone). Many curses were screamed and objects were thrown before he died, I can tell you that. I woke up my dogs with all the racket.
If that boss was that hard, I shudder to think what the rest of the game will be like...

I had a really hard time with him too. I felt like he was a high level beast for that part of the game. I haven't had such a hard time since then, though a lot of bosses are 'find the weakness, THEN attack" type of bosses. You might have to attempt it a few times, but if you use the old noodle, you will figure it out!

I haven't had much trouble since I died six times on top of the mountain. In fact, I've made it through disc 2 and haven't died since. Just about to do the Ice Cave now. My characters are all Level 30-31. I keep the immortals in the party at all times and rotate the 5th spot with the other characters. I also walk everywhere in the dungeons so I can get attacked more and gain more XP.
