He makes an appearance later in the game and you can get him in your party in the post-game stages.

Not that he needs it, but I'll back that up.
I think part of the way through the story, you just pass a bill to fight him, and he's level 1000 or 1500 or something. Pretty good character in any case. Voice is blech though, D1's voice was 10x better IMO. ------------------- | |
