Star mages aren't "better" than other elemental mages. Enemies can have weaknesses to all three main elements, so sometimes it's better to have Fire or Ice instead of Star.

Actually, both Prism and Galaxy Skulls/Mages learn Omega Spells at level 50 (60 for Star), but they can't learn Tera Spells. Also, Prism Skulls/Mages don't learn Star spells.
Only the element-specific tiers (1-4) can learn their respective Tera Spells. For example, only Fire Skulls/Mages can learn Tera Fire. A Prism Skull/Mage learns all elements up to I'm getting my information from Here. The information there was taken from my Character Guide, which was mentioned at GameFAQs where you're apparently double dipping. | |
