it seems kinda easy on FlightSim, but im not so sure in reality

I remember a commercial pilot who landed a large passanger plane with his front landing gear broken, it was some hell of a miracle, I remember the interrupted TV programme to broadcast the event LIVE, it was a very tensioning hour from where he dropped all fuel and landed the bird safely, many though the bird would simply crash but it didnt... anyway, that was some hell of a pilot on that video , they do actually base a lot of thing in Ace Combat on real happenings from real pilots, its what makes it so cool.

It is cool. He is a great pilot, but the F-15 is also a great plane. I wonder if it could have been done with any other airplane...

Might be done with Sukhoi aircraft:D

Just as he said "It was going so fast it was like a rocket going on its own, no wing needed", so maybe a F16, MiG29, MiG31 and some modern age Sukhoi could have done it, I think it would have been way harder to do with a Mirage, Eurofighter, Gripen or any of the delta winged though, white their arrow shape allows em great speed I think had it only one wing, because they are so huge the plane would go extremely unstable, or maybe the contrary... dunno to be honest, I dare not make an affirmation as I could be labeled as an ignorant was I to be wrong:P

Yeah... The fact is that the F-15 has a wide body... And so do the planes of the Sukhoi family...

I've heard that the A10 Thunderbolt II can fly with one wing cut off (and an engine cut of too, but I'm not sure if its in addition to the wing being cut off). It's not as surprising, just from looking at the plane. A lot of people have called it ugly, but I personally like its appearance. Also, try flying the plane in Ace Combat. Try to fly inverted, holding up to keep the plane in the air.

Haha, Ive done that , not only Ive flown the plane inverted, but Ive fought with it inverted, yup, I fought the entire Yuke fleet in operation "Glory Horn" with the canopy facing the sea, interesting is that the LASM's would do down through my wing as I launched them, which I think defied all laws in physics, but it was fun thing to do

they attributed the fact that he survived and landed the plane to the F-15s wide body and high power to wieght ratio.
