What is FanFiction?


FanFiction is where you take characters from media (games/books/tv shows) and create a story from it, twisting the tale to your own liking or adding new characters to whatever you are writing. For example in Harvest Moon, you could do certain pairings, where you take one character and do a romance with another.

Rules of the Thread

Like all game threads, please follow all forum rules! There are also some special rules for this thread, which would be the following.

• No Bad Language
• Stories should be child friendly - remember, we do have younger members here!
• Avoid "heavy" romance and suggestive themes
• Please don't criticize other people's stories!
• If you would like to comment on someone's story, please put it in Ooc format.


And that should be it! Remember, this isn't a Roleplay, but somewhere were you can post your stories about Harvest Moon and receive comments on them!

It was late night in Forget-Me-Not Valley. The stars were out, sparkling brightly in the dark sky. A cool breeze blew through the area, making the leaves on the trees rustle, and some fall to the ground.

I myself was sitting on a bench, by the path towards Mineral Town. My dark brown hair whipped around my face, as the breeze grew stronger, before dying down again. I pulled my jacket tighter around me.

A moment later, a familiar face walked into the valley. His silver hair blew in the breeze a bit, as he walked forward. He was tall, and handsome, and he had an interesting fashion sense. It was Phantom Skye, the mysterious thief.

He walked towards the bench, where he saw me sitting. I stood up, and walked towards him. He smiled, and I smiled back, but feeling very nervous as well. In my pocket was something special: a blue feather. Yes, I was going to propose, if I managed to gather up my courage.

“Jill! Lovely night is it not?” he asked, coming up beside me, and smiling brightly.

I nodded my head, and we walked together, heading down the path.

“But, it’s nothing compared to your beauty.” he said, in his usual charming voice.

I blushed furiously. That was so typical him, but every time he said something like that, I always blushed, and got butterflies in my stomach. We continued walking, past the path to the Excavation Site, past Vesta’s large farm, and finally, all the way to the bridge. But when we got there, I stopped, and turned to him.

“Skye, I need to tell you something. Well, ask you something; or maybe a bit of both.” I said, swallowing, and putting my hand in my pocket.

Skye stopped, and turned to me, still smiling. I pulled out the blue feather. His smile turned upside down, and he turned his face away from me.

“Oh. You’re giving your love away to someone else. And you want to know whether we can still be friends?” Skye said, his voice hardening. “Fine, have it your way.”

That stabbed me like a knife to the heart. How could he think that? I opened my mouth to protest, but it was too late, he was already gone. A tear slipped down my cheek. How could he think that I was going to propose to someone else? How? The one person I loved thought I was getting married to someone else. Maybe he didn’t want to marry me, and he used that as an excuse. Or maybe he was just mad at me for some reason. Or – I don’t know!

All those thoughts flooded into my head at the same moment. The sadness was overwhelming. Another tear slipped down my cheek - then another, and another. Eventually, I had started bawling. I raced across the bridge, and headed for home – bumping into Flora, my best friend, on the way. She called my name, but I ran past her, not wanting to talk.

I rushed into my house and slammed the door shut, making my pets run in different directions. I fell onto my bed, and just continued to cry.

The next morning started like any other morning, except there was a note on my finely carved wooden table.



“Tonight I’m going to steal your heart away.


- Phantom Skye”





I sighed, and tossed the note back onto the table, not caring. Why should I care? He rejected me, or at least came to a conclusion too quickly, and didn’t want to have anything to do with me. So why should I have anything to do with him?

A sob crept up my throat. I couldn’t help myself. I was half happy, and half sad. I still loved him, I really did, and the fact he was coming tonight was a miracle. Maybe he figured out why I had shown him the blue feather – because I loved him.

A whine came from the corner of the table. I peered downwards, and saw my dog, pawing at my pants, asking for food. I giggled, and picked him up – my cat too – and took them to where their food bowls were. I set them down, and headed to the cupboard. After opening it, I got food for each of them and poured it into their blue bowls. They ate it hungrily.

A small musical note sounded from my clock telling me that it was time to go feed the chickens, the cow, and the horse, and to go water the crops. I grabbed my light jacket, the one I had worn yesterday, and walked outside – watering can in hand. Whilst doing all this, I thought about what I was going to do today to pass the time. Watering all my crops and feeding all my animals will take quite a bit of time. Then, I should probably go to the Excavation Site, and apologize to Flora for running past her the other day. She is the only one who knows that I liked Skye. She’s the only one who really understands me sometimes. After all of that, I’ll probably go home and get changed, and then maybe go to the Inn and the Blue Bar to hang for a bit, before this evening. I wonder when Skye is going to come…

I yawned. It was well past ten o’ clock, Skye’s normal visiting hours, and I was ready to fall asleep. I hope he comes soon. I stared at the clock. It was way past ten o’ clock. It was already eleven. I closed my eyes, and lay back in my bed. I’m sure Skye wouldn’t mind if I took a nap…

“Jill? Are you awake?” a voice whispered into my ear.

I opened my eyes, and blinked a couple times before the room came into view. I turned to my side, and saw Skye bent over me, ready to shake me a bit to wake me. I immediately sat up as he moved away, blushing furiously.

“I-i-i’m sorry! I was afraid you weren’t coming and-“ I said all in one breath and was going to continue when Skye placed a finger on my lips, hushing me.

“It’s alright, I should have come earlier.” he murmured, removing his finger from my lips.

I looked down for a moment, before standing up, and walking over to my table, where I knew I would be able to grab it if I needed balance for some reason. Skye followed.

“You came to steal my heart?” I asked in a weak voice.

“Yes, I did. Will you surrender your heart to me?” he replied.

I paused for a moment, to think. Should I? He did think I was rejecting him at first, and we have had bad moments before. But then again, all “lovers” do sometimes. My heart throbbed in my chest, telling me that I should surrender my heart to him. I loved him, and that’s what matters most – I think.

“Y-yes. My heart belongs to you.” I said blushing a faint pink color.

He smiled, and then began to speak.

“Well my fair maiden, before I leave, I also came here to steal your blue feather.” he said.

“You can have it. I’ll part with it willingly.” I said softly, retrieving the feather from my jacket.

Skye was stunned. Apparently no maiden he had ever stolen a blue feather from had given it to him willingly.

“But why, Jill?” he asked, taking the blue feather from my hands. “Why give it willingly to a thief?”

“Because it was meant for you originally.” I murmured. “I was never planning on giving my love to someone else. It was meant for you.”

Skye flushed a pink color, and stared into my eyes.

“Really?” he asked.

I nodded, blushing as well. Skye came over to me, and wrapped his arms around me – a sudden move that I wasn’t expecting.

“So, you’re proposing to me, is that it?” he asked, his face pressed against the top of my head.

“Mhmm.” was the only thing I was able to say.

“Well then,” he started, releasing me. “Yes, I would love to marry you.”

I let out a little squeal of delight. He laughed, and then pulled me close again. I smiled into his jacket.

“You know, I’ve been attracted to you from the start. Ever since that first day I met you outside of the Mansion, until now. And I promise that I will continue loving you forevermore.” he promised. “I love you Jill.”

“I love you too, Skye.” I whispered, loud enough so he could hear. “And I’ll love you forever."

I had a great life.Lots of money,a wonderful husband,great kids.But one day,that all changed.Wait,I guess I should go a little further back.Okay,here's what happened:
I was just doing the farm work,as always,sowing seeds,watering plants,when I heard a call."Dinner time honey!"I smiled,and and ran towards the house.I came in to see my husband,Trent,and my kids,Eyan and Lucy.Eyan looked like me,with his father's tan skin,my big blue eys and blond hair,and a love for plants.Lucy,though,was very tan,and had her father's eyes and black hair.But she wanted to be an artist.Just as we were about to eat dinner,I heard a knock on the door.I opened it to see Muffy."Trent,there you are!Come on,the family's waiting for dinner sweetie!"Family?

Chapter One


The sun slowly fell behind the horizon. My blonde hair whipped in the wind as I watched it set on the ocean; it cast a red glow. A small tear slipped my right eye as I watched the sight. I sipped a smoothie from Kai's shack.

Kai was closing up the shack when he spotted me. He walked over to me, smiling. "Kayla, it's closing time. You want me to walk you home?"

I looked up to him to see if he was joking. Yes, I've known Kai for three years, but we were only friends. To put it bluntly he was. "No thanks, Kai. I'm waiting for someone."

"At night? Your not seeing that Skye person are you?" Kai asked suspiciously. "He always up to no good."

"I never said I was meeting him." I snapped at him. "Anyways don't you have to go help Ruby for tomorrow?"

"Fine I'll leave. You don't have to be so crabby." Kai snapped back. "Oh, and Kayla, when you get in over your head because of him don't come running to me."

I sighed. Ever since I've met Skye, Kai has become distant. It was as if I didn't know him.

I guess I should start from the beginning, shouldn't I? Well it started two years ago. The first summer I came to Forget-Me-Not Valley.

I was lost, because it was the first time I actually left my farm that I became the owner of by inheritance. Looking for the bar I ended up at a huge mansion late at night. As I was about to enter the house when a handsome man with silvery white hair and odd, but nice clothes came out.

"Excuse me, but what is a fair maiden like you walking around late at night?" He spoke to me when he spotted me.

"I-I was looking for the b-bar." I told him blushing.

"There you are! Thief!" A young girl's voice shouted from the door. Lumina had come out from the mansion.

"I'm sorry, but I must flee." He said to me, breathing onto my face. His breath smelled like nothing I've smelt before. The man vanished into the night as Lumina walked up to me.

"Oh, hi Kayla. Have you seen a guy with silver hair? He goes by Phantom Skye." She asked.

"No I haven't. I just walked up when you yelled." I lied, I couldn't let him get caught.

"Oh well, we'll get him next time." She told me. "Well I have to go. I see you tomorrow?"

"Sure, see you." I had told her. I retraced my steps walking back towards my house. I noticed the bar this time, though, only because of the people going in and out. One person came towards me, again.

"Hello? Ruby?" The person asked as he reached me. His voice was deeper than Phantom Skye's.

"No, Ruby is probably at the inn." I told him. "Who are you?"

"They call me Kai. What about you?" He told me as we walked towards the inn.

I kept silent until we were at the doors of the inn so I could see his face in the darkness. "I'm known as Kayla."

He smiled as he opened the door to the inn. He was about to go in the inn when he stopped. "Will I see you at the beach this summer?"

"Maybe, it depends on a lot of things." I told him before walking to my farm.

The moons was high in the sky when the wind started picking up. I shivered, it was oddly cold for a summer night. I pulled my towel around to block the wind.

I heard a bush rustle behind me against the wind. I turned towards the shadows knowing who it was. I softly spoke in the wind. "Skye get out here."

"Are you sure your ready to tell him? He isn't going to agree with this." The Phantom asked as he stepped out into the clearing. I stood up, stepping closer to him.

"If he doesn't find out now, he'll find out the hard way. You don't want that." I told him taking his hand to lead him off the beach.

I was walking around Forget-Me-Not Valley, because I had nothing else to do. All my farm work was finished. Suddenly, I heard a splash! I went over to see what all the commotion was, and saw a guy with silver hair throw a girl into the river! "Hey!" I ran over to the river, and shoutd,"What do you-" I stopped. "Phantom Skye! Hey guys! Skye is here!" Skye looked at me and said,"How do you know my name, I believe I haven't seen you before." I said,"Well, I know your name because your a thief!" I heard footsteps. Skye thought about something. "Tell me, would you like to help me steal?" he said finally. Well, he is cute. And I- I shook the thought away from my mind. "I'm sorry, but, after what happened to me before, I swore I would never love another man. And I don't want to steal." I said, folding my arms across my chest. "Can you swim, then?" He asked me again. I was embarrased when I answered him. "No." "Ah, so I can't throw you in the river. I can't let a beautiful maiden drown, Can I?" He said. I blushed. Before I could blink, he tied me up to nearby tree! "I'm sorry, but I can't get caught." Then he ran away.

An Angel In the Valley
Chapter 1: The start on a sunny day!

I can only tell you one thing about me, I'm not you're average girl. I live in Forget-Me-Not-Valley near a farm. My best friend, Jill, who invited me to stay with her. I love this place so much that I am planning to stay here, only I don't have enough money. I have a job at least! It's in the Blue Bar or sometimes at the Inn. I'm a singer! Oh... I forgot that I should go now... Gotta get on with me life!

I set down my diary and put it under my bed. And I stepped out of my door just as my best friend Jill did. You see I lived on her farm and Gots, the local carpenter, made my own really small one bed room, small bath room house. It's really small but I love it. In the morning I helped Jill a bit with her farm duties. This morning it was bright and sunny and the birds were singing a bright sweet tune. As Jill ran to water her crops I entered the barn. The two baby cows came over to me and nudged my hand. I walked over to the feed bin and put some fodder in their bins. Then I walked over with the milker and attached it to the cows utter. Then I manged to get a small jar full of milk. I repeated this process with the other female cow. After I milked both I heard Jill yell "I'm going to get the chickens. Since it's nice could you take the cows outside for a bit? I'll bring them back in later, I guess.

"Sure Jill," I called back, "I think they should soak up some sun too."

I gently pushed out the cow out of the barn and let them graze. I was so bored now so I told Jill that I was going to be going out for a bit. She nodded and went back to her work. I decided to change first since my outfit had gotten dirty from the cows. I changed into a fresh pair of jeans and a simple flower pattered tee shirt. I trotted out of my house and scratched my back... something was strange, it felt different. I shrugged it off as I ran over to the beach, since it was summer I could talk to Kai as I ate some of his wonderful cooking. I couldn't cook to save my life.
