The consort scene was censored. They did show more, but to keep the ratings down, they removed the good parts. They're on youtube though. There's no actual explicit footage. The current verison was left so that teenage guys can have a pretty good idea at what's happening, but their seven year old sister will be kinda confused.

I found the romance kinda spotty in Mass Effect, simply because the game wouldn't allow you to carry on with a conversation or topic until you'd complete another story mission or what have you.

It really was like "oh shoot we might not have time to wait, let's do it."
